Die Erfindung betrifft ein Gehäuse für einen Kühl- oder Gefrierschrank mit kompakten Wänden aus wärmedämmendem Polystyrol-Partikelschaum. The invention relates to a housing for a refrigerator or freezer with compact walls made of heat-insulating polystyrene particle foam.
Herkömmliche Kühl- oder Gefrierschränke enthalten in der Regel als Wärmedämmung eine kompakte Schaumstoffkonstruktion auf Basis von Polyurethan. Bei der Herstellung werden in ein Formwerkzeug die Polyurethan-Ausgangsmaterialien (Isocyanat, Polyol und Treibmittel, z.B. HFCKW oder Cyclohexan) eingefüllt und im Ortschaumverfahren ausgeschäumt. Diese Arbeitsweise ist fertigungs- und sicherheitstechnisch aufwendig; außerdem kommt es durch Ausdiffundieren des Treibmittels im Lauf der Jahre zu einer Verringerung der Isolierwirkung des Schaumstoff. Schließlich ist eine Wiederverwertung ausrangierter Kühlschränke nur mit hohem Aufwand möglich, insbesondere weil durch das Ortschaumverfahren eine innige Verbindung zwischen den verschiedenen Einzelteilen des Kühlgeräts und dem Schaumstoff entsteht, und weil der Reaktionsharzschaumstoff Polyurethan nicht durch einfache Methoden aufgearbeitet werden kann.Conventional refrigerators or freezers usually contain a compact foam construction based on polyurethane as thermal insulation. An der Innenseite sind die Schaumstoffwände durch einen Innenliner begrenzt, der vorzugsweise aus einem steifen Styrolpolymerisat, z.B. aus schlagfestem Polystyrol oder einem Acrylnitril/Butadien/Styrol-Pfropfpolymerisat (ABS) besteht.
