Der in den Figuren 2 und 3 dargestellte Versandumschlag ist aus einem Zuschnitt bzw. Nutzen gemäß Figur 1 hergestellt. Dieser Zuschnitt besteht aus aufreißbarem Material, insbesondere Karton, das eine sich in einer bevorzugten Richtung erstreckende Verstärkungsstruktur, insbesondere Wellstruktur aufweist. Im letztgenannten Fall besteht der Zuschnitt aus einer Art Wellpappe. Der Zuschnitt umfaßt eine Vorderseite 10, eine aus zwei Teilen 11 und 12 bestehende Rückseite sowie stirnseitige Verschlußlaschen 13 und 16. Innenseitig, d. h. auf die Innenfläche des Zuschnitts ist ein Aufreißband 23 aufgeklebt, das sich nahe und parallel zu einer Längskante des 5 Versandumschlages sowie senkrecht zur bevorzugten Richtung der *■ Verstärkungsstruktur 26 erstreckt. Die beiden Teile 11 und 12, die die Rückseite des Versandumschlages bilden, sind über Längs-Faltlinien 17 und 18 mit der Vorderseite 10 verbunden. Es wird diesbezüglich auf Figur 3 verwiesen. Das greifbare Ende des 0 Aufreißbandes 23 befindet sich in einem von der Verschlußlasche 13 freigelassenen Eckbereich des Versandumschlages. Das greifbare Ende des Aufreißbandes 23 ist zum besseren Greifen mit einer Grifflasche 24 verbunden, die integraler Teil des Umschlagzuschnitts ist. Diese Faltlaschen 30, 31 weisen jeweils sich parallel zur Längserstreckung des Zuschnitts 28 bzw. parallel zur Wickelrichtung 32 erstreckende Prägelinien auf, so daß die Faltlaschen 30, 31 zu einer stirnseitigen Abschlußwand des Versandumschlages faltbar sind, insbesondere unter Abdeckung der Stirnseiten eines zu versendenden Gegenstandes. Die beiden Faltlaschen 30, 31 sind durch einen stumpfwinkligen Trennschnitt 42 voneinander getrennt. Im Bereich der Faltlaschen 30, 31 ist die vorgenannte Längsrand-Verstärkung fortgesetzt, in dem die Faltlaschen 30, 31 so mit der Innenfläche des Zuschnitts 28 verklebt sind, daß sie erst im Abstand der Längsrand-Einschläge 43, 44 aus der Ebene des Zuschnitts 28 herausgefaltet, d. h. in Figur 4 a etwa senkrecht nach oben gefaltet werden können. Auf diese Weise sind die beiden Längsränder 35, 3 6 des Zuschnitts 28 praktisch durchgehend in der beschriebenen Weise verstärkt, d. h. doppellagig ausgebildet. Die Umfaltung des Gegenstandes mittels der Faltlaschen 30, 31 erfolgt in der oben beschriebenen Weise. Der Zuschnitt 2 9 ist des weiteren über die gesamte Zuschnittfläche doppellagig ausgebildet. Lediglich im Bereich der Anbringung des Aufreißbandes 34 ist die doppellagige Ausbildung unterbrochen. Damit ist ein sauberes Öffnen des mit dem Zuschnitt 2 9 erhaltenen Versandumschlages gewährleistet. Auch hier läßt sich der Versandumschlag mittels des Aufreißbandes 34 in zwei Hälften teilen, die unter Freigabe des zu versendenden Gegenstandes auseinandergezogen werden können. Im übrigen weist auch der Zuschnitt 2 9 einen Selbstklebe-Rand 45 auf.
