The current organic waste bins have a normal lid.

In summer, when temperatures are high, organic waste bins are more likely to become infested with maggots and produce unpleasant smells, particularly under the lid.

Problem:

With conventional organic waste bins, most residents of an apartment building don't use them because they find them disgusting and have bad smells. (Maggot infestation)

Solution:

I would like to create a lid in which a spreading device for lime granules is built in «

When the lid is closed, the spreading device can be pulled forward using a handle on the side. The lime granulate then trickles evenly over the organic waste.

A steel spring ensures that the spreading device is retracted back to its original position (backwards) after the process has been completed.

The invention ensures that the organic waste bins can be used again in the summer.

The lime granules prevent maggot infestation as well as odors.
