II. DESCRIPTION

Lighters, especially disposable lighters of the usual design, do not offer a high level of protection against mechanical stress/destruction, are usually only different from other disposable lighters in terms of color or shape and are therefore often confused, or forgotten or left lying around. Furthermore, like all known lighter cases, they have no observable physical effect other than their original purpose. However, disposable lighters are popular advertising media due to their functionality, among other things, although the advertising effect usually disappears when the gas contained in the lighter is used up and the lighter is subsequently disinfected. At the same time, to date, no disposable lighter, either alone or together with a case, is known to float vertically, which also often results in the loss of the lighter.

The invention specified in claims 1 & 2 (or 3) is based, among other things, on the problem of eliminating the above-mentioned reasons for loss.

These problems are solved by the features set out in claims 1 and 2.

The invented sleeve serves

- on the one hand through its own material and on the other hand through its "mobility", the protection against mechanical impacts on the lighter,

- better grip and usability of the lighter,

- easier recognition and findability of the lighter,

- the lighter is less likely to slip on a moving surface (for example on a table in a ship/airplane),

- (depending on the design, the overall aesthetic appearance of the lighter)

- the human joy of movement,

- the human instinct to play in all its forms (for example as a table football figure),

- as a means of communication,

- depending on the shape of the human hand as its flatterer,

- as a lever simulator {joy stick) for motor skills training of the hand,

- with the features in claim 2 of the buoyancy of lighters,

- (as a teaching aid to recognize and understand the physical lever effect and buoyancy forces)

- due to the above-mentioned advantages of avoiding the premature loss of a lighter, in particular the awareness of the greater attention given to disposable lighters as classic consumer and disposable goods at the lowest price range,

- finally as an excellent advertising medium {print, engraving),

because the effects mentioned in claims 1 and 2 have a positive effect (for example, "always gets up" or "never sets") and its usability over time is guaranteed for life thanks to the possibility of replacing the empty disposable lighter with a new one, regardless of consumption.

An embodiment of the invention is explained with reference to Figs. 1 to 4.

Figures 1 and 2 show the pivot point 2 and the center of gravity 3 resulting from the calculated weight 1. From this pivot point 2, the sleeve with the lighter inserted in Fig. 1 moves along the direction of movement 5 into the vertical position shown in Fig. 2. In order to achieve this lever effect, the weight 1 must be dimensioned so that the center of gravity 3 of the sleeve including the lighter inserted is on the spherical rolling side (i.e. to the left of the pivot point 2 in Fig. 1). As a rule of thumb for the shape shown in Fig. 1, one can assume that the weight 1 must be approximately 3-4 times as large as the weight of the full lighter 4 inserted into the sleeve. If there is not enough space for a corresponding iron or heavy metal weight 1, or if the weight is to be reduced overall, the shape of the sleeve must be adjusted so that either the rolling side is made more oval so that the "active" weight 1 is moved further down or the pivot point 2 is moved further up. The example in Fig. 5 and 6 shows, once from the wide side and once from the narrow side, how the sleeves equipped with the features in claim 2 - in particular the air spaces 6 - together with the inserted disposable lighters float vertically in water.
