Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Vorrichtung zu schaffen, die das Orten einer auf See über Bord gegangenen Person erleichert.The invention is based on the object of creating a device which facilitates the location of a person who has fallen overboard at sea.

Die Vorrichtung besteht aus einer an einer - nicht gezeigten - Schwimmweste angebrachten Druckgaskartusche 10, die über eine Hülse 24 über eine lösbare Verriegelungseinrichtung 12 mit einem Ballon 14 verbunden ist. Eine Hülse 24 nimmt ein Seil 16 auf, das den Ballon 14 mit der Schwimmweste fest verbindet.The device consists of a compressed gas cartridge 10 attached to a life jacket (not shown) which is connected to a balloon 14 via a sleeve 24 via a releasable locking device 12. Nach ausreichender Füllung des Ballons 14 betätigt dieser die Verriegelungseinrichtung 12, die das Rückschlagventil 18 in dem Ballon 14 mit der Druckgaskartusche 10 (hier indirekt über die Hülse 24) löst. Der Ballon 14 steigt auf, wobei die Höhe seine Aufstiegs durch das Seil 16, das mit seinem einen Ende an der Schwimmweste und mit seinem anderen Ende an dem Ballon 14 befestigt ist, begrenzt wird.If the person wearing the life jacket falls overboard, the compressed gas cartridge 10 is triggered in the same way as the CO 2 cartridge which inflates the life jacket (i.e. by activating a rip cord or by wetting it with water).
