Description

The invention relates to a holder with a closure for beverage cartons, especially for 1-liter, cuboid-shaped cartons with a rectangular base.

A known dispensing container of this type (DE 37 17 898 Al) is made from a flat plastic part folded to form the container, with the side walls having two handle sections. This dispensing container is inherently rigid and the beverage carton can move back and forth more or less when pouring, which impairs handling. This dispensing container also does not have a closing device for the beverage carton.

Also known is a milk carton carrier with a handle (GM 76 12 477) whose function corresponds to that of the dispensing container, whereby a swivel bracket or an elastic securing element, not described in more detail, is proposed to prevent the milk carton from falling out when pouring.

The dispensing container with lid (GM 77 17 051) for 1 and 1/2 litre carton packs, in its rigid form, is more of a container than a holder for drinks packs.

The document (G 93 11 788.4) further describes a vessel with a handle and attachable lid for a beverage carton - especially for milk cartons - whereby this invention also fulfils more of the function of a container.

My previous applications (G 94 01 234.2, G 94 05 912.8 and P 195 02 748.5) should also be mentioned, whereby this application represents a further development.

The drinks packaging is not particularly easy to grip due to its shape and the nature of its outer walls, so you always have the feeling that the packaging will slip out of your hand, especially when pouring, or that the contents of the packaging will be pushed out if you grab it harder. The cuboid-shaped cartons with a rectangular base are particularly sensitive to gripping in this respect, as the opened and unsealed corner of these packaging points downwards.

The invention is therefore based on the object of designing a holder or pouring aid, especially for 1-liter containers, in order to facilitate handling, i.e. grip and pouring, and additionally to enable the opened package to be resealed.

For this purpose, the holder is square-shaped with a base or base tabs so that the drinks carton can be inserted just into the holder. The slot/gap in the slotted wall of the holder, which is approx. 6 mm wide, makes it even easier to insert the drinks carton into the holder. When lifting the holder with the drinks carton or, for example, when taking it out of the refrigerator door compartment - one usually grabs _it with one hand - the slotted wall (9) in between offers resistance to the thumb and fingers, which means that the grip can be stronger than without the holder, without there being any risk of the carton being crushed. Because the slotted wall (9) on the inside of the hand has a slot/gap (10), the side walls (3) are pressed flatly and clamped against the walls of the drinks carton (16,27) when gripped, which means that the holder (1) and the drinks carton (16) are perceived as a single unit when held or poured out, thus improving handling. To prevent the holder (1.) with the drinks pack (16) from slipping downwards, the handleless version provides additional vertical support for the fingers on one side of the holder and the thumb on the other side on the upper edge (6) of the grip opening (4). Instead of the grip opening, elastically flexible pressure tabs can be formed by cuts in the wider side walls, which are pressed against the cardboard wall when grasped.

These conditions make it possible for the drinks package with the holder to be easy to handle even when it is tilted, and for pouring to be easy to control and for the grip to be stronger and safer than without the holder.

In the version with handle, this function is achieved by squeezing the two grip tabs (25) together when accessing.

Since the normal 1-liter beverage cartons for fruit juices are often not consumed immediately and therefore may be left open for a longer period of time, the holder has a foldable or attachable closer (12) that presses the cut-off corner (17) of the beverage carton against the carton wall (16,27) and thus closes the beverage carton.

The closer (0-2) is attached to the holder (1) in such a way that the beverage package (16) can be inserted into the holder when it is open.

The holder and the closer are preferably injection-molded from plastic, with the wall thickness of the holder being approx. 1-2 mm. Because the holder with closer is only 2-4 mm larger than the side edge of the drinks carton, it is still possible to place the holder with the packaging inserted, e.g. in the door compartment of the refrigerator. Preferred embodiments of the holder with closer according to the invention are now explained using the drawings. These include:

As can be seen in particular from Fig. 1, 3, 5 and 7, the holder with the closure 12 is designed without handles, i.e. without grip tabs 25, and has a slot/gap 10 in the side wall 9 on the inside of the hand that extends to the base 2, which allows the wider side walls 3 to be sprung against the drinks carton wall 16, 27 when grasped, thus creating a clamping effect, which improves handling. In the variants with handles or grip tabs 25, which are shown in Fig. 2 and 4

This clamping effect is caused by the grip tabs, since the grip tabs represent the angled extension of the slot wall 9 at the slot/gap 10.

The closer 12 is mounted and pivoted off-center on the holder 1 on two side flaps 15 so that the insert opening of the holder is completely exposed when the closer is opened. Opening and closing is accomplished using the opening/closing tongue 14, whereby the closing flap 13 also has two notches 37, which allow the closing flap to give way when it is opened and closed. The closing movement is limited by placing the side flaps 15 on the holder or by placing the flat flap 39 (Fig. 4) on the beverage carton.

Fig.3 shows a variant of a closer made of spring wire.

All closer variants are designed in such a way that, as a result of the elastic deformation of the closer, the closing tab 13 exerts a pressing force against the opened cover corner 17 of the beverage carton.

Holder with a closure for beverage cartons, especially for 1-litre cuboid cartons with a rectangular base, the two wide cardboard walls of the pack being glued lengthwise along the top edge, folded over and folded down on the narrow cardboard walls as folding corners, characterized in that a) the holder (1) has a hinged closer (12) which has a pivot point behind the middle of the holder (1) with its side flaps (15) on the side walls (3), and when the closer (12) is folded into the closed position, the spring-acting closing flap (13) is pressed against the front wall (16) of the box as a result of the incisions (37) with the rounded closing tongue (14); that b) the wider side walls (3) run diagonally downwards with their edge (5) at the top and each have a gripping opening (4) opposite one another with a horizontal and vertical supporting edge (6,7), the gripping openings (4) being ergonomically and aesthetically shaped in terms of design, that c) the slotted wall (9) on the inside of the hand has a vertical slot (10) extending into the base (2), whereby the side walls (3) are pressed against the cardboard walls in a springy and at the same time clamped manner when gripped with one hand; that d) the holder (1) made of plastic or another material is dimensioned and shaped in one piece in such a way that the cuboid-shaped beverage carton (16) can be inserted from above with the shutter (12) open, with the base (2) being closed with a slot (10) or with base tabs (2); that e) the holder (1) is ergonomically and aesthetically designed, with the outer surfaces of the side walls (3,8,9) serving as advertising space. 2. Holder with a closer for drinks cartons according to claim 1, characterized in that the holder (1) has an ergonomically shaped gripping tab (25) with a gripping opening (26) due to the continuation of the front tabs (9) over a 90° bend in the slotted wall (9, 10), with a gap/slot (10) of 5-20 mm between the gripping tabs (25) and thus when the holder (1) is gripped the side walls (3) are pressed against the drinks pack walls (27), with the side walls (3) additionally having a design opening (4) with a supporting edge (6) falling forwards and a lower edge (37) of the opening (4) rising to the top right, rounded corners and design lines (38). 3. Holder with closer for beverage cartons according to claims 1-2, characterized in that the closer (12, 19) consisting of side legs (20), closer legs (21), rounding (23) and rounded closing tongue (22) is made of wire in such a way that when closing the opened corner (17) of the beverage carton is pressed against the carton wall. 4. Holder with closer for beverage cartons according to claims 1-3, characterized in that the closer (12,19) is arranged to be laterally foldable, or is only rotatably attached as a folding tab to one of the side walls (3,8,9) and the downwardly pointing legs (32) on the narrow sides of the beverage carton (16) press against the carton wall (27) in a clamping manner as a result of the elastic deformation. 5. Holder with closer for drinks cartons according to claims 1-4, characterized in that the closer (30) is a separate part made of plastic or another material, and consists of a cross part (31), handle (34) or handle-shaped formation (37) and two clamping tabs (32) which converge slightly conically from the cross part (31) via an angle (33) in the width of the drinks carton, the ends (38) being shaped slightly outwards. t *

Holder with closer for drinks cartons according to claim 1 and 2, characterized in that the closer (12) is formed only from a flat tab (39) and a closing tab (13), the closer (12) being pressed or inserted into the bearing (11) after the carton (16) has been inserted, locking knobs (40) for the two positions being additionally provided on the side walls (3). 7. Holder with a closer for beverage cartons according to claims 1-8, characterized in that the holder (1) has an elastically flexible pressure tab (36) in the side wall (3) with a C-shaped incision on both sides at the location of the gripping opening (4).
