The invention relates to a sales display, in particular for packaged pharmaceutical products, which can initially be transported to the recipient in an extremely space-saving manner and can then be set up by the recipient in very few simple steps.

Containers or boxes are known for transporting or presenting a wide variety of products, but they usually do not have any compartments inside. Such containers are not suitable for eye-catching or very easy-to-handle product placement.

The German patent application DE 36 45 018 discloses a storage container for objects, the folding housing of which consists of a hollow polygon formed in one piece. The housing is delivered in a flat, folded state. By simply swinging open the housing body, it is possible to unfold the base of the container, which consists of four individual base flaps, so that a stable storage container is created in just a few simple steps. However, this storage container has the disadvantage that there are no compartments inside the housing, so that the simultaneous sale of different products from this container is ruled out for optical reasons alone.

If a compartment division, which should extend over the full depth of the housing, for example, is required within such a storage container, it must be inserted into the previously unfolded container in a very laborious manner, which means many additional work steps. In addition, assembling such a container from several individual cuts is often very complicated, so that a lot of time must be spent on setting it up.

On the other hand, there are already pre-assembled sales displays with any number of compartments, but these cannot be folded up and are only available in an already set-up state and therefore take up a fairly large transport volume. This is very undesirable, especially if several such sales displays have to be transported at the same time.

The object of the invention was to create a sales display that does not have the disadvantages of the state of the art or at least not to the same extent and that can be folded flat for transport and can be fully unfolded with the help of a few simple steps.

This problem underlying the invention is solved by the teaching of the main claim. Advantageous embodiments are explained in the subclaims.

The sales display according to the invention therefore consists of a cuboid-shaped housing that is open on one side and is provided with a compartment on the inside that advantageously extends over the full depth of the housing. The frame of the housing is formed by a left and a right side wall, an upper cover and a lower base, whereby these four individual parts are preferably made of two layers. Four rear wall tabs are connected to the side walls, the cover and the base via fold lines, two of which advantageously each have a smaller locking tab.

In the housing, at least one further intermediate wall, which is aligned parallel to the side walls, and a further intermediate floor, which is aligned parallel to the floor and which is connected to the intermediate wall, are provided.
When the case is laid flat, all four rear panel tabs lie outside the frame formed by the side panels, lid and base.
By simply swinging the frame open, the sales display is unfolded, whereby the rear wall from the four rear wall tabs automatically unfolds and a compartment is built up from the intermediate wall(s) and the intermediate floor(s).

The partition wall or walls preferably have two additional tabs hinged via fold lines.

The intermediate floor(s) and/or the floor section can have a hinged bar which, when the sales display is fully assembled, is preferably aligned at an angle of 90° to the floor.

To fold in and lock these webs, lugs are preferably punched out in the intermediate wall(s) and in the additional side walls, which are hinged to the side walls of the housing and folded inwards.

The essential features of the sales display are that it is pre-assembled to such an extent that it can be folded flat for transport, so that its space requirement is extremely small, and that, once it has arrived at the customer or user, it can be completely unfolded with just a few simple steps, which makes the final assembly very simple and very quick.

In order to sell packaged pharmaceutical products, they usually have to be arranged in larger boxes that allow many individual packages to be stored at the same time in order to achieve a clear, orderly and therefore acceptable form of sale for the customer. However, in particular when several products from a product range are to be offered at the same time, which are often presented in packages of the same size but with different prints, the problem arises of offering them in a form that promotes sales. This is particularly advantageous using the sales display with its compartments that can be divided up as required. The compartments allow for the clear presentation of similar products in a product range in particular, as a different product is stored in each individual compartment of the sales display. The different products can therefore be seen at a glance, which makes it easier for the customer or supplier to make the right selection.

The bars provided on the compartments prevent individual product packages from falling out. In addition, the bars provide an excellent surface on which information about the product located in the compartment behind the bar can be printed.

The sales display can also be hung on the wall using an appropriately shaped wire that is located inside the housing. It can also be used as a free-standing display.

The sales display 1 shown in Figure 1 consists of an outer, cuboid-shaped housing 2 and a compartment 4 located in this housing 2, which extends over the full depth of the housing 2. The housing 2 consists of a rectangular left side wall 21, a rectangular right side wall 22 and

the two side walls 21, 22 connecting the lid 23 and the base 24. All four parts 21, 22, 23, 24 are made of two layers to increase the stability of the sales display. For this purpose, essentially rectangular parts (2', 22', 23', 24') are hinged to the two side walls 21, 22, the lid 23 and the base 24, with the connection being made via a fold line 255, 256, 257, 258. These four parts 21', 22', 23', 24' are each folded into the interior of the housing 2.

Two "U"-shaped slots 31, 32 are punched out of the lid 23, which allow two hooks 33, 34 of a correspondingly shaped wire 35 to be passed outwards. At the same time, the tabs 31', 32' provided prevent the wire 35 from falling into the interior of the sales display 1. The wire 35 preferably extends over the entire width of the lid 23 within the housing 2. The two "U"-shaped hooks 33, 34 are formed into the wire 35 at the appropriate points. With the help of these hooks 33, 34, the sales display 1 can be hung on a wall particularly conveniently.

In the housing 2, a compartment 4 with two rectangular partition walls 41, 42, which are also made of two layers to increase strength, and an intermediate floor 43 are provided. The intermediate floor 43 has a web 45 which is hinged at a right angle so that the web 45 is aligned parallel to the rear wall 7. On the floor 24 of the housing 2, a further floor part 44 is provided which enables the formation of a web 46 as in the intermediate floor 43.

Noses 213, 214, 223, 224, explained in more detail below, are punched out of the two side walls 21', 22' in accordance with the number of intermediate floors 43 plus the lower floor part 44, and are used to fold in the webs 45, 46. For this reason, cutouts 211, 212, 221, 222 are provided in the side walls 21', 22' that correspond to the punched-out nose shape.

Figure 2 shows a top view of the folding blank 200 for producing the outer casing 2 of the sales display 1 without compartments 4. The central elements of the folding blank 200 are the rectangular side walls 21, 22, the lid 23 and the base 24. The side walls 21, 22 are slightly longer than the lid 23 or the base 24, preferably about 1.5 times as long, the width of the four parts 21, 22, 23, 24 is identical. Two "U"-shaped slots 31, 32 are punched out of the cover 23 to accommodate the hooks 33, 34, so that the rectangular-shaped tabs 31', 32' are formed. The cover 23 also has a tab 25, which is also connected to it by means of a fold line 254. The tab 25 ensures the connection between the cover 23 and the left side wall 21 during the pre-assembly of the housing 2 by attaching the tab 25, preferably gluing it, to the inner side of the left side wall 21. In this way, a closed frame is created, which is flexible due to the existing fold lines 251, 252, 253, 254, i.e. it can also be folded flat.

Rectangularly shaped parts 21', 22', 23', 24' are hinged to the four parts 21, 22, 23, 24 via fold lines 255, 256, 257, 258, the length of which corresponds to the corresponding part 21, 22, 23, 24 to which these parts 21', 22', 23', 24' are hinged. Furthermore, the four parts 21', 22', 23', 24' each have the same width, which is slightly smaller than that of the parts 21, 22, 23, 24. These four parts 21', 22', 23', 24' serve to make the side walls 21, 22, the lid 23 and the base 24 each in two layers.

Noses 213, 214, 223, 224 are punched out of the side walls 21', 22', which are used for folding and locking, i.e. for stabilizing the folded-in webs 45, 46. Since all of the noses 213, 214, 223, 224 have the same shape, the nosing 213 is described in more detail as an example for all of the others. The nosing 213 has an essentially rectangular shape, one corner 290 of which is slightly rounded in a quarter-circle shape. Furthermore, the nosing 213 is punched out of the wall 21' in such a way that a small tab 291 remains at the corner that is opposite the rounded corner 290.

By punching out the lugs 213, 214, 223, 224, correspondingly shaped punches 211, 212, 221, 222 are created in the two side walls 21', 22'. To accommodate the intermediate floor 43 in the compartment 4 when assembling the sales display 1, there is an insertion slot 215, 225 on each of the punches 211, 221, which extends approximately to the middle of the width of the side walls 21', 22'.

The rear wall 7 is formed from four rear wall tabs 71, 72, 73, 74, which are each connected to the corresponding part 21, 22, 23, 24 via fold lines 259, 260, 261, 262.

The four rear wall tabs 71, 72, 73, 74 together form a rear wall 7 that closes automatically when the sales display 1 is erected in accordance with ECMA Code A 510.

An insertion tab 711 is provided on the mainly rectangular rear wall tab 71. Via the fold line 263, an approximately triangular section 712 of the rear wall tab 71 has the option of being bent at an angle of maximum 180° relative to the rear wall tab 71. This section 712 is preferably permanently connected to the rear wall tab 74 via an adhesive point 713 for pre-assembly of the housing 2. The rear wall tab 71 also has a punched-out section 714 in the form of a slightly slanted trapezoid, with the upper left corner of the shorter side of the trapezoid lying in the extension of the fold line 263. The height of the trapezoid and thus the depth of the punched-out section 714 is selected such that the length of the section &khgr; corresponds exactly to half the length of the line y, i.e. half the length of the cover 23. Finally, the section 712 can also have an almost triangular-shaped punch 715.

The rear wall flap 74 has the shape of a trapezoid that is also slightly slanted. The height of the trapezoid ζ is preferably slightly less than the length of the line x. The angle between the fold line 260 and the edge 741 is preferably in the range of 60° to 80°, and the angle between the fold line 260 and the edge 742 is preferably 45°. To accommodate the insertion flap 721, an insertion slot 743 is provided at the corresponding position on the fold line 260 in the rear wall flap 74. The length of the insertion slot 743 corresponds to that of the insertion tab 721. In order to lock the insertion tab 721 in the insertion slot 743, an appropriately shaped nose 721' is additionally formed on the insertion tab 721, which causes the insertion tab 721 to hook into the insertion slot 743. To simplify the removal of the insertion tab 721 from the insertion slot 743, the latter has a semicircular recess in the middle.

In order that the insertion tabs 711, 721 can be inserted into the insertion slots 733, 743 without difficulty, rectangular recesses 231, 241 are provided in the parts 23', 24', each corresponding to the size of the insertion tabs 711, 721.

The shape of the rear panel flap 72 corresponds to that of the rear panel flap 71, that of the rear panel flap 73 to that of the rear panel flap 74. The rear panel flap 73 has

the rear wall tab 74 merely has the two additional rectangular slots 31, 32 for accommodating the wire 35.

To pre-assemble the housing 2, the tab 25 is first glued to the base 21 so that a closed frame is formed. This frame is laid flat. The sections 712, 722 are bent by 180° so that they lie below the rear wall tabs 71, 72. Then the section 712 is glued to the back of the rear wall tab 73 via the adhesive point 713 and the section 722 is glued to the back of the rear wall tab 74 via the adhesive point 723. Finally, the four parts 21', 22', 23', 24' are each bent into the interior of the housing 2.

Figure 3 shows, in a view from above, the folding blank 40 for producing the partition wall 41, which forms part of the compartment 4, as representative of all other partition walls.

The partition wall 41 is also double-layered. For this purpose, a rectangular wall 410' is hinged to the wall 410 of the partition wall 41 via the fold line 411, which has the same length but a slightly smaller width than the wall 410. On the edges of the wall 410, which are at right angles to the fold line 411, two rectangular tabs 412, 413 are attached via the façades 414, 415. The tabs 412, 413 serve to firmly connect the partition wall 41 to the housing 2 by gluing the tab 412 to the part 24' via the point 412' provided with an adhesive coating and the tab 413 to the part 23' via the point 413' also provided with an adhesive coating, after the tabs 412, 413 have previously been bent over by an angle of 90°. The tab 412 is somewhat smaller than the tab 413 for optical reasons. Two lugs 416, 417 are punched out of the wall 410', the size of which corresponds exactly to that of the other lugs 213, 214, 223, 224. Only one tab corresponding to the tab 291 is missing. In order that the intermediate floor 43 can be connected to the intermediate wall 41, there is a punched slot 418,419 in the wall 410 and the wall 410', which extends from the fold line 411 at least to the middle of the respective wall 410, 410'. The height at which the slots 418, 419 are arranged on the fold line 411 depends on the height at which the intermediate floor 43 is desired within the sales display 1.

Figure 4 shows, in a view from above, representative of all other intermediate floors, the cut-out 400 for producing an intermediate floor 43, which forms the other part of the compartment 4.

The intermediate floor 43 consists of a central, essentially rectangular-shaped part 430, the length and width of which are slightly smaller than those of the floor 24, so that the intermediate floor 43 can be easily inserted into the unfolded housing 2. On one long side of the intermediate floor 43, a web 45 is hinged via a fold line 450, which extends over the entire length of the edge, whereby the width or height of the web 45 can be selected as desired. The corners of the other long side of the part 430 are also preferably rounded in a quarter-circle shape.

On the edge of the web 45 opposite the fold line 450, three individual tabs 452, 453, 454 are connected to the web 45 via a double fold line 451. The width of these tabs 452, 453, 454 corresponds to that of the web 45. The length of the individual tabs 452, 453, 454 depends on the specified distances between the side wall/partition wall 22/41 or 21/42 or the partition wall/partition wall 41/42. Here, all three tabs 452, 453, 454 have the same length. Each of the tabs 452, 453, 454 has a small insertion tab 455, 456, 457 in the middle on the edge opposite the double fold line 451. When the web 45 is folded in, these insertion tabs 455, 456, 457 are inserted into corresponding rectangular-shaped insertion slots 435, 436, 437 in the part 430 and thus provide the necessary hold for the folding in of the tabs 452, 453, 454.

Furthermore, the part 430 has insertion tabs 433, 434 hanging on two fold lines 431, 432. These insertion tabs 433, 434 are pushed between the two walls 21, 21' and 22, 22' through the cutouts 211, 221 in the walls 21', 22' when the intermediate floor 43 is inserted into the housing 2. In this way, vertical movement of the intermediate floor 43 at the edge of the same is excluded. The height of the insertion tabs 433, 434 is therefore less than that of the cutouts 211, 221. The length of the insertion tabs 433, 434 is less than the width of the part 430. The length of the fold lines 431, 432 corresponds to the length of the insertion slots 215, 225, because the insertion slots 43', 432' located between the part 430 and the insertion tabs 433, 434 are inserted into the insertion slots 215, 225, so that a firm plug connection is created.

So that the intermediate floor 43 can be connected to the intermediate walls 41, 42 to form the compartment 4, the intermediate floor 43 has two further insertion slots 438, 439. Their position and length depends on the selected dimensions of the insertion slots 418, 419 in the intermediate wall 41 or the insertion slots in other intermediate walls, because these insertion slots are also pushed into one another in such a way that a firm connection is created.

Figure 5 shows a top view of the folding blank 401 for producing the base part 44, which is provided directly on the base 24 of the housing 2.

The base part 44 corresponds in its structure and dimensions to the intermediate floor 43, but there is one exception. Since the base part 44 is placed directly on the floor 24 inside the sales display, horizontal movement of the base part 44 under load at the edge of the same is impossible. For this reason, the cut 401 of the base part 44 does not have any insertion tabs attached to the side of the part 440 as with the intermediate floor 43.

Figure 6 shows the sales display 1 in an almost completely flat state. The pre-assembly of the housing 2 has been completed, as well as the compartment 4 made up of the intermediate walls 41, 42, the intermediate floor 43 and the floor part 44 in the housing 2. The noses 213, 214, 223, 224, 416, 417, 426, 427 required for folding in the webs 45, 46 protrude from the side walls 21', 22' and the intermediate floor 41, 42. Furthermore, the tabs 452, 453, 454, 462, 463, 464 are not folded in.

The individual rear wall tabs 71, 72, 73, 74 are shown on the automatically closing rear wall 7. The two hooks 33, 34 of the wire 35 protrude from the cover 23.

In this state, the sales display 1 is transported to the customer. The ability to fold the entire sales display 1 in such a space-saving manner without much effort being required for the final erection represents the main advantage of the invention.

Figures 7 and 8 show the final assembly of the sales display, which can be carried out quickly and easily by the customer.

Figure 7 shows the process for unfolding the sales display 1.

By simultaneously pressing on the points marked by the arrows on the side walls 21, 22, the rear wall 7 closes automatically with the four individual rear wall tabs 71, 72, 73, 74. To securely fix the rear wall 7, only the two insertion tabs 711, 721 have to be inserted into the corresponding insertion slots 733, 743 according to the arrows shown.

At the same time, the compartment 4 within the sales display 1 automatically rises.

Figure 8 shows the final procedure for crimping the webs 45, 46 in front of the individual compartments of the compartment 4. For this purpose, all noses 213, 214, 223, 224, 416, 417, 426, 427 are bent inwards by 90° according to the small arrows shown.

Protection claims 1. Sales display, in particular for packaged pharmaceutical products or the like, consisting of a cuboid-shaped housing open on one side with a left and a right side wall, an upper lid and a lower base, the latter connecting the left and right side walls to one another, with a rear wall, which is constructed from four rear wall tabs which are connected to the side walls, the lid and the base via fold lines, wherein at least one further intermediate wall is provided in the housing which is aligned parallel to the left or right side wall and which is firmly connected to the lid and the base, and wherein at least one further intermediate base is provided in the housing which is aligned parallel to the base and which is connected to the intermediate wall, characterized in that a) the four rear wall tabs 71, 72, 73, 74 of the housing 2 are arranged so that
