The invention relates to a transparent parking ticket holder for attachment on the dashboard behind the windshield of motor vehicles.

In large cities, metropolitan areas and traffic-calmed streets, parking times for motor vehicles are increasingly limited. Parking machines have been installed to control this. After paying the parking fee, they issue a parking ticket. All information such as location, date, start of parking time and permitted parking time are printed on the ticket, as well as the note "Place behind the windshield in a way that is clearly visible from outside."

However, it has been shown that parking tickets stored in this way, simply because of their low weight, often slide down slanted dashboards, are blown away by a draft or are turned over, so that they are not visible or readable from the outside. In addition, storing them on dashboards that are usually inclined inwards makes them difficult to read from the outside.

The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the task of enabling the intended placement of a parking ticket - almost parallel to the windshield - as well as its fixation and easy readability from the outside in order to exclude the previously described problems. The circumstances of all types of motor vehicle with regard to the different angular positions between the dashboard and the windshield must be taken into account.

The two-part parking ticket holder, which is made from crystal-clear acrylic film, consists of the parking ticket holder shown in Fig. 3 and the insert clip shown in Figs. 4 and 5.

The parking ticket holder (Fig. 3) consists of the viewing window (1), the two insertion tongues (3) and the clamping spring (2). This is bent at an angle of 360° parallel to the viewing window (1) and is appropriately pre-tensioned in the direction of the viewing window. To make it easier to insert the parking ticket into the parking ticket holder, the end of the clamping spring (4) is bent away from the viewing window.

The parking ticket holder is set up - approximately parallel to the windscreen - using the insert clip (Figs. 4 and 5), the profile of which is designed according to the invention in the form of an isosceles triangle that is open at the top, the ends of the legs (5) of which are bent inwards in a semicircular manner and subjected to a pre-tension towards each other. The installation surface of the clip has a crenellated rectangular profile (6) on the inside. The insertion tongues (3) of the parking ticket holder (Fig. 3) can be optionally inserted into one of the profile grooves and thus enable the parking ticket holder to be set up in different angular positions, as shown by way of example in Fig. 2. The installation surface is provided on the outside with a double-sided adhesive film (7) for fastening the insert clip to the dashboard. A variable design of this fastening is available in the form of a commercially available, self-adhesive

Velcro fasteners are provided, which allow the clip to be temporarily removed - e.g. to clean the dashboard.

To use the invention, the parking ticket is clamped between the viewing window (1) and the clamping ring (2) of the parking ticket holder (Fig. 3) and the latter is placed with the insertion tongues (3) - depending on the angle of the windshield - in one of the profile grooves (6) of the insertion clip (Figs. 4 and 5). In this way, the parking ticket is fixed to the dashboard in a way that is undetachable and in accordance with regulations - clearly visible from the outside.
