Kitchen sieve

Description

The invention relates to a kitchen sieve according to the preamble of claim 1.

Kitchen sieves are known with a sieve that is attached to a sieve holder made of wire or plastic. A fixed handle is attached to the sieve holder, by which the kitchen sieve is held by the user. The kitchen sieve can, however, be hung in a container (e.g. pot, bowl, sink, etc.), with the kitchen sieve resting on the handle and on two wire eyelets attached to the circumference of the sieve holder on the edge of the container. should be adapted to the dimensions of the container. If the handle is too short, the kitchen sieve cannot be hung in a container. If, on the other hand, the handle extends too far beyond the container, there is a risk of accidentally tearing down the kitchen sieve and the container.

Since the handle has to be adapted to the dimensions of the container, several kitchen sieves with different handle lengths are required. This not only means more space is required for storage, but also increased costs. An additional disadvantage of known kitchen sieves is that the hand holding the kitchen sieve is relatively close to the sieved goods, which can be uncomfortable or even painful if the goods are hot.

The object of the present invention is to create a kitchen sieve that can be adapted to different vessel dimensions.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a kitchen sieve with the features of claim 1.

By using a handle element that can be moved lengthwise, it is possible for a kitchen sieve to be adapted to the size of a container. By extending or retracting the handle element, the sieve can be adapted to the respective container size.

With a handle element according to the invention, the distance of the handle position from the material to be screened can also be adjusted, so that when the material to be screened is hot, the handle position can be moved further away from the material to be screened, whereby the hand on the handle element is better protected from heat.

In an advantageous embodiment, the handle element consists of a shaft to which a handle is attached that can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the shaft. By moving the handle towards the end of the shaft, the shaft is effectively extended by the amount moved, so that the kitchen sieve can also be hung in containers for which the handle of a particular kitchen sieve is too small.

In a preferred embodiment, the handle can be locked in at least one position on the handle. By locking the handle to the handle, the handle is prevented from slipping off the handle, which enables the kitchen sieve to be handled safely.

For this purpose, the inner surface of the handle preferably has a positive profile that can be connected to a corresponding negative profile of the stem. In this easy-to-manufacture design, the handle can be locked in a selectable position along the stem in a form-fitting manner. The position of the handle on the stem is changed by pulling the sieve holder or the stem and the handle in opposite directions. The profiles move past each other. In the locked position, no force is required to hold the handle in its position.

In another preferred embodiment, the handle is locked to the handle by at least one screw, in particular by a knurled screw. By tightening a knurled screw, the threaded end is pressed against the handle, whereby the handle and the handle are clamped together.

A combination of positive and non-positive connections can also be used to lock the handle onto the shaft.

The invention according to the invention advantageously has an eyelet on the handle element for hanging the kitchen sieve on a holder. A grip profile attached to the outside of the handle for holding the kitchen sieve in a non-slip manner is also advantageous.

The idea underlying the invention will be explained in more detail using the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawings. They show:

Figure 1 shows a top view of a kitchen sieve 7 with a hemispherical bowl-shaped sieve 1, which is fastened in a ring-shaped sieve holder 2. Two wire eyelets 3 and a fixed handle 4 are attached to the circumference of the sieve holder 2. The wire eyelets 3 and the handle 4 form the support points of the kitchen sieve _{1 1} if it is mounted on the edge of a vessel.

The handle 4 is connected at one end to a handle 5, which can be moved along the handle 4. By moving the handle 5 towards the end of the handle, the length of the handle 4 can be almost doubled, so that the kitchen strainer 7 can also be used with large containers. For smaller containers, the handle 5 can be pushed onto the handle so that it does not protrude too far and thus increase the risk of the kitchen strainer being torn off. The handle has a grip profile on the outer surface, which enables the kitchen strainer to be held securely.

Figure 2 shows a side view of the kitchen sieve 7. The wire eyelets 3 are bent downwards to prevent the kitchen sieve 7 from slipping on the edge of a vessel (not shown).

Figure 3 shows a sectional view of the stem 4 and the handle 5 connected to it. A sawtooth-shaped profile 9 is attached to the outer surfaces of the stem’s long sides. The inner surfaces of the handle 5

have a geometrically corresponding profile, so that when the handle 5 is pushed onto the stem 4, the two profiles lock into place, preventing the handle 5 from slipping off the stem 4. The position of the handle 5 on the stem 4 is changed by pulling on the sieve holder 2 or the stem 4 and the handle 5 in opposite directions. If the handle 5 is in its selected position, no further force is required to hold it in place.

Figure 4 shows an alternative embodiment in a sectional view through the stem 4 and the handle 5. A knurled screw 8 is attached to one long side of the handle 5, the threaded end of which is connected to the stem 4 in a force-locking manner. The handle 5 is locked to the stem 4 by this clamping connection. The lock can be released quickly and easily by operating the knurled screw 8.

In an alternative embodiment, the adjustable handle element is designed as a telescopic handle.

The invention is not limited in its implementation to the preferred embodiments given above. Instead, a number of variants are conceivable that make use of the kitchen sieve according to the invention even in fundamentally different designs.

Kitchen sieve according to claim 1, characterized in that the grip element (9) consists of a shaft (4) and a handle (5) located thereon and the handle (5) is displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the shaft (4). 3.
