Die auf den Leitungen des SCSI Kabels (1) anliegenden Signale gelangen über die Logikeinheit (2), die Inverter und Latches enthält, zu den Leuchtdioden. Von den Invertern gelangen die Signale zu den Leuchtdioden (3) der Real-Time Anzeige (Echtzeit Anzeige). Von den Latches gelangen die Signale zu den Leuchtdioden (4) der gespeicherten Anzeige. Bei Echtzeit-Anzeige werden die Signale so angezeigt, wie sie an den Leitungen des SCSI Kabels (1) anliegen. Im Normalbetrieb eines PC's werden einige Leuchtdioden ständig flackern. Bei gespeicherter Anzeige werden die anliegenden Signale gespeichert und die Leuchtdioden leuchten konstant. Somit kann man die bereits aufgetretene Signale anhand der leuchtenden Leuchtdioden ablesen. Mittels eines Tasters (5) können die Leuchtdioden der gespeicherten Anzeige während des Betriebs gelöscht werden, um bei bestimmten Aktionen im PC-Betrieb die aufgetretenen Signale durch erneutes Aufleuchten der Leuchtdioden zu bestimmen.The signals present on the lines of the SCSI cable (1) reach the LEDs via the logic unit (2), which contains inverters and latches.
