Description

Stone paving

The invention relates to a stone pavement consisting of straight rows of paving stones arranged next to one another.

The object of the invention is to design a stone pavement of this type in such a way that its stone bond creates a special visual impression.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that two groups of stone rows of different widths formed from elongated stones are provided, that stones of adjacent stone rows are offset from one another and that in some of the stone rows their end stones have approximately half or a quarter of the paving stone length of the respective stone rows.

Preferably, the paving stones are formed by shaped stones, whereby paving stones of both groups of stone rows are advantageously of essentially the same length.

A stone bond that has a relaxed effect and is particularly aesthetically pleasing despite the fact that the two groups of stone rows are connected to one another can be advantageously achieved by having the paving stones belonging to a stone row have partially different peripheral shapes.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the end of the stone rows formed by paving stones of smaller width is formed by end stones which are approximately half or a quarter of the paving stone length, and the end of one of two adjacent stone rows of the same stone width is formed by end stones which are approximately half the paving stone length.

The end stones can also be used with particular advantage as filling stones to avoid cross joints in the paving stone bond.

Another way to advantageously vary the appearance of the stone paving is to arrange paving stones of the same circumference that belong to a row of stones next to each other and in a mirror image or rotated by 180°.

The drawing shows an embodiment of a stone paving according to the invention. It shows:

The stone pavement comprises two groups of straight, parallel rows of paving stones 10, 12, which are of different widths.

In the embodiment shown, the stone paving is limited on both long sides by a wide row of paving stones 10, which is followed by a narrow row of paving stones 12 on the inside. For example, three wide rows of paving stones 10 are arranged between the two narrower rows of paving stones 12. One or two of these rows of paving stones could just as well be replaced by narrower rows of paving stones 12 in the area of the three middle, wider rows of paving stones 10.

The paving stones 14 of the wider paving stone rows 10 are offset from the paving stones 14 or 16 of the adjacent paving stone rows 12 or 10 in such a way that end stones 18 or 20 are required in order to ensure that the stone paving ends are straight at the front.

The paving stones 14 and 16 as well as the end stones 18, 20 are preferably formed by elongated concrete blocks compacted using a vibrating process, whereby the paving stones 14 and 16 belonging to one of the paving stone rows 10 and 12 have partially different peripheral shapes.

In this case, paving stones 14 lying one behind the other, as shown at 22, can be arranged in mirror image or, if necessary, rotated by 180°. The exact circumferential shape of the end stones 18, 20 can be seen in Figs. 2 and 3.

The end stones 18 of the three adjacent rows of paving stones 10 provided in the middle of the stone pavement have approximately half the length of their paving stones 14, while the end stones 16 of the narrower rows of paving stones 12 have approximately half the length of the end stones 18 (see Fig. 2 and 3) or essentially a quarter of the stone length of the paving stones 16.

Since the paving stones 14, 16 in Fig. 1 are not drawn exactly to scale, this can only be seen in outline.

The special peripheral shape of the paving stones 14, 16 and the end stones 18, 20 with longitudinally partly convex and concave peripheral sections as well as correspondingly rounded corner areas allows a loose stone bond with a visually appealing stone arrangement to be achieved.

Claims (8)

Protection claims 1. Stone paving, consisting of straight rows of paving stones arranged side by side (1O ₇ 12), characterized, that two groups of stone rows (10, 12) of different widths formed from elongated stones (14, 16) are provided, that stones (14, 16) of adjacent stone rows (10, 12) are offset from one another and that in some of the stone rows (10 or 12) their end stones (18 or 20) have approximately half or a quarter of the paving stone length of the respective stone row (10 or 12). 2. Stone paving according to claim 1, characterized in that the paving stones (14, 16) are formed by shaped stones. 3. Stone paving according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the paving stones (14, 16) of both groups of stone rows (10, 12) have essentially the same length. 4. Stone paving according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the paving stones (12 or 14) belonging to a stone row (10 or 12) partially have different peripheral shapes. 5. Stone paving according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that in the case of rows of stones (12) having the smaller width, their end stones (20) have approximately half or a quarter of the paving stone length. 6. Stone paving according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that in the case of adjacent stone rows (10) of the same stone width, the row end stones of one stone row (10) have approximately half the paving stone length. 7. Stone paving according to claim 6, characterized in that paving stones (12 or 14) of the same circumferential shape belonging to a stone row (10 or 12) are arranged adjacent to one another and in a mirror image. 8. Stone paving according to claim 6, characterized in that paving stones (12 or 14) of the same circumferential shape belonging to a stone row are arranged adjacent to one another and rotated by 180°.
