Self-service packaging for small hardware

The invention relates to a self-service packaging for small iron goods and similar goods.

Until now, it has been common practice to store such goods in multiple arrangements in small plastic boxes, which can then be hung on a support rod of a support frame using a suitable hanging eyelet, so that they can be clearly presented to the buyer in sales premises.

However, it is often desirable that such small iron goods or the like can be purchased individually, so that the buyer is not forced to purchase a large number of nails or screws, for example, if he only wants to purchase one or two such items.

For this purpose, larger items have already been displayed in bulk containers so that the goods can be removed individually. However, this does not provide a clear presentation for the buyer in the store and, in addition, there is often no corresponding label or similar that would enable the cashier at the cash register of the selling company to record the item by number, price and other essential data.

Based on this state of the art, the invention is based on the object of creating a self-service packaging for small iron goods and similar goods, which enables an attractive presentation of individual goods, allows the removal of individual goods and preferably also enables the arrangement of product-specific data related to the corresponding product, whereby this product identification remains on the goods at least until they are delivered to the checkout area of the corresponding sales outlet.

To solve this problem, it is proposed that the self-service packaging consists of a product carrier tape made of paper and/or plastic, which can be broken down into individual product carriers by means of predetermined separation points running transversely to the length of the tape, with an individual item of product being attached to or on each product carrier and all product carriers of a product carrier tape being equipped with the same product.

This arrangement and design makes it possible to arrange and attach an individual item of goods to each individual product carrier of the product carrier belt, whereby the entire product carrier belt then carries a large number of such individual items. This makes it possible to present the goods in an appealing way in different ways, which clearly shows the goods as individual items to the buyer. In addition, it is possible for the buyer to separate the corresponding end piece from the product carrier belt, whereby, depending on the buyer's wishes, the buyer can choose a single product carrier or several

Product carriers can be separated together from the product carrier belt. The arrangement of the intended separation points enables easy and safe separation of the individual product carriers or of an area of the product carrier belt consisting of several product carriers - it is preferred that the intended separation points are formed by perforations.

It is also particularly preferred that each product carrier has zones or areas in addition to the area occupied by the individual product, to which product information, price information, codes or similar data can be applied.

This makes it possible to accommodate all product-specific data, details and information on the product carrier itself, so that the product carrier contains the necessary information for use or for cash register entry for both the buyer and the cashier of the relevant sales outlet.

Preferably, it is also provided that the product carriers of a product carrier belt are of the same color.

For example, product displays of a price category or product type can be designed in the same color, so that the buyer is given assistance with regard to the area of application or with regard to pricing through the presentation of the product display.

In some circumstances it may also be advantageous if the individual items of goods are attached to each product carrier using adhesive tape.

The adhesive strip can, for example, be a transparent adhesive tape, so that the adhesive strip does not cover the goods or the information and details contained on the goods carrier, but this information and the product itself can be seen through the adhesive strip.

In some circumstances it is also advantageous if an adhesive strip is glued along the length of the product carrier and fixes the individual goods on the individual product carriers, whereby the adhesive strip also has intended separation points at the intended separation points of the product carrier tape.

For example, the carrier tape can run through a placement machine on which the individual goods are positioned accordingly on the carrier tape, whereby a corresponding adhesive strip is then applied parallel to the carrier tape, by means of which the goods placed on the goods carrier tape are fixed to it. The corresponding intended separation points can, for example, be attached after the arrangement of the adhesive strip so that the corresponding individual areas of the goods carrier, including the adhesive tape, can be separated.

In order to achieve a good presentation of the goods on the goods carrier belt, it can also be provided that the goods carrier belt is held as a vertical strip with one end on a support rod which is attached to a support wall or a support frame and protrudes from it.

The arrangement of support rods or the like on support walls or racks has already been common practice in sales premises, with small packages containing the corresponding goods being hung on such support rods. Instead of arranging such packages containing a large number of individual parts, it is now also possible to hang a goods carrier tape with one end on such a support rod, with the goods carrier tape hanging vertically downwards due to the earth's gravity and enabling the goods to be presented accordingly.

The goods carrier tape is wound into a roll that can be plugged onto and unrolled from a support rod held on a support frame or the like.

It can preferably be provided that the roll is wound onto a roll shaft with roll cheeks fixed to its ends.

This prevents the individual turns of the wound product carrier tape with goods from slipping off one another.

In addition, it is preferably provided that the roller shaft is penetrated by a support rod of a support frame and can rotate around it.

The self-service packaging for small hardware items consists of a goods carrier tape 1 made of paper or plastic or a combination of these materials. The goods carrier tape can be laid out into individual goods carriers 3 using predetermined separation points 2 running transversely to the length of the tape. An individual item 4 of a product is attached to each goods carrier 3.

All product carriers 3 of a product carrier tape 1 are equipped with the same products 4. The intended separation points 2 are preferably formed by perforations. Each product carrier 3 has, in addition to the area occupied by the individual product 4, zones 5 or areas to which product information, price information, codes or similar data can be applied. This product information remains intact even if an individual product carrier 3 is separated from the carrier tape 1, so that the corresponding product or other information relating to the product 4 remains directly related to the product 4.

Preferably, the product carriers 3 of a product carrier belt 1 are of the same color, whereby different carrier belts 1, which are equipped with different products, can have different colors.

Alternatively, a continuous adhesive strip can be glued along the longitudinal extent of the goods carrier tape 1, by means of which the individual goods 4 are fixed to the individual goods carriers, whereby this adhesive strip then preferably also has predetermined separation points at the predetermined separation points 2.

In the embodiment according to Figures 1 and 2, the goods carrier belt is held as a vertical strip with one end on a support rod 7, which is attached to a support wall 8 and protrudes orthogonally from it. With this arrangement, a very good presentation of the goods is achieved for the user, whereby the buyer can detach one or more goods carriers 3 at the end of the goods carrier belt 1 (in drawing figures 1 and 2 below).

In the embodiment according to Figures 3 and 4, the goods carrier tape 1 is wound up into a roll, as can be seen in particular from Figure 4. The roll 8 thus formed is

wound onto a roller shaft 9 with roller cheeks 10 fixed to its end areas. The roller shaft 9 is penetrated by a support rod 11 of a support frame 12, which is only indicated, and can be rotated around it. In the area that is at the front in the position of use, the carrier tape hangs down vertically, as can be seen in Figure 4. At this end, corresponding individual product carriers can be

The invention provides a cost-effective sales option for self-service sales outlets, where the goods are presented individually and individual purchases of individual goods, in particular small iron goods, are also possible. For example, nails, screws, hooks or other elements can be offered and sold as individual items in this way in a simple manner, with the carrier tape providing assistance for both the buyer and the cashier.

Self-service packaging for small iron goods and similar goods, characterized in that the self-service packaging consists of a goods carrier tape (1) made of paper and/or plastic, which can be broken down into individual goods carriers (3) by predetermined separation points (2) running transversely to the longitudinal extension of the tape, whereby an individual item of a product (4) is fastened on or to each goods carrier (3) and all goods carriers (3) of a goods carrier tape (1) are equipped with the same goods. 2. Self-service packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that the predetermined separation points (2) are formed by perforations. 3. Self-service packaging according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that each product carrier (3) has, in addition to the area occupied by the individual product (4), zones or areas (5) to which product information, price information, codes or similar data can be applied.
