Der Hebel 21 und daher auch die Bürste 20 sind in der Höhe dadurch verstellbar, daß die Zapfen 24, welche unter dem Druck der Feder 25 stehen, im Rahmenteil 26 der Maschine verschoben werden können. Das kann z.B. dann geschehen, wenn die Schnur 15 zu lose oder zu straff gespannt ist. 27 ist die Bürste, mittels welcher der hintere Teil des Schuhes geputzt wird. Sie schwingt mit dem Hebel 28 um die Achse 29 und fällt daher nieder, sobald die Spannung der Schnur 15 nachläßt. 30 ist der Fußtritt, welchem durch die Stange 31, die an die Kurbel 32 angelenkt ist, ebenfalls eine hin und her gehende Bewegung erteilt wird.
