Description

The invention relates to a closed-cell foamed, Insulating shell manufactured as a slotted pipe for pipe insulation in a temperature range between - 160 ° C and + 115 ° C, as they are in a similar form is used for the insulation of hot and cold water pipes.
The main purpose of such insulating shells is to provide a prescribed thermal insulation regardless of the To achieve the level of performance of the fitters and to achieve the shortest possible assembly times on site. To the This problem was solved by introducing foamed plastics on the material side. Of these are the closed-cell foamed materials because of their water vapor permeability also for cold pipelines usable. This makes them much more versatile than the open-pore foamed plastics. A prerequisite for consistent thermal insulation is that the first opened insulating shell is sealed vapor-tight during assembly. You try that regularly to achieve that the abutting surfaces of the insulating shells are butt glued (including Grünzweig and Hartmann: "Porofin insulating shells"). The disadvantage here is that a poorly performed Bonding can lead to the formation of condensation within the insulating shell, which affects the thermal insulation impaired, and that the additional work step "gluing" leads to a considerable reduction in the Hourly output during assembly leads.
In another solution, the installed insulating shell is covered with a vapor-impermeable plastic sheet surrounded, which is closed mechanically. For this purpose, the edges of the plastic sheets are at the edges Welded strips that are hooked into each other. The disadvantage here is the incomplete vapor seal. Installation is also made more difficult by the unstable behavior of the insulating shell and the loose ones Wrapping. The invention is based on the object of showing a closed-cell insulating shell that has The easiest way and can be assembled without tools, can be closed absolutely gas-tight.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
In a particular embodiment of the invention, the foamed polyolefin is a crosslinked polyethylene foam. In an expedient embodiment, it is provided that the slide lock made of plastic at a continuous insulation shell production to be extruded directly onto the insulation shell. For identification The pipe strings still have the option of color-coding the slide lock.
The advantages attainable with the present invention consist mainly in the fact that the new insulating shell by a sliding shutter consisting of a plurality of interlocking sealing lips which can be closed hermetically in a simple manner and that it in a temperature range from - used 160 0 C and + 115 ° C is.
