There are already known methods for the transmission of images, in which the to be transmitted Image is first printed on a support and then, by the application of heat and pressure, onto a fabric or another Substance is transferred. Most of the time, the image carriers are easily fusible materials made of resins, waxes, etc. have been used. Differs from the previously known method The new method is characterized in that the coating, which consists of an easily meltable material, is applied to a carrier which has a surface impermeable to wax. On this coating The image is then printed onto easily fusible material using a flat printing process. Paper or some other suitable material can be used as a carrier Surface is provided with a coating that is impervious to wax. To this one To make the wax impenetrable, a mixture can be applied to the paper, those from a glue solution, double chromate of potassium, alum, starch, French Chalk and precipitated calcium sulfate. However, any other suitable material can also be used for this purpose. on this surface, which is impenetrable for wax and similar substances, then becomes the light meltable coating applied. This consists expediently of resin and varnish or a mixture of beeswax, Japanese wax and paraffin wax made with the help of suitable Solvent brought together in the required mixing ratio will.
The inventors have found that the following recipes are particularly recommended. To achieve a surface of the paper that is impermeable to wax, one uses a Mixture of 56 g gelatine, 560 g water, 14 g potassium alum, 7 g double chromate potassium, 28 g glycerine.
This mixture can be applied to the paper or the paper using a suitable machine other underlay are brought, whereupon the paper dries and the surface hardens. The following mixture can be recommended for the production of the fusible layer: 560 g carbon naphta, 56 g Japanese naphtha Wax, 56 g glue, 28 g white shellac.
Gewebe o. dgl. übertragen werden kann. This mixture is then applied to the wax-impermeable surface of the paper, and after hardening has taken place, the image is printed on with the aid of any known means, which is then applied from heat and pressure back onto a material .. tissue or the like. Can be transferred.
