Abstract
Description
Title: Swimming water wheel as a power plant for generating electricity Description : Despite a number of patents and pending registrations, pertaining to the use of the current of flowing water, such systems are unknown andl-nowhere to be found or enjoy neither reputation nor trust as an electricity producer.
Generally known, however, because in multiple and proven designs, are large-scale systems where hydrostatic power is accumulated in various ways converted into rotary force as drop pressure by means of various turbine systems and is used to generate electricity. The water used in this way then continues to flow, either until the next. Traffic jam or further and further - away into the sea.
It is amazing that humanity in its otherwise rational thinking the "flow of water" not on every possible meter in a more modest, but uses it sensibly.
The present invention is intended to do this in the manner of the well-known water wheels can be achieved in that without hydraulic engineering intervention on flowing water a floating water wheel is placed. Must be anchored on the bank or on the ground the floating waterwheel will turn if it is axially suspended. This turning movement is a torque corresponding to the flow force and the blade area, its use in the sense of the invention with the following construction should be effected made of plastic, wood or sheet metal buoys of two different shapes and indeed large disc-shaped ones (a) and tubular cylindrical (b). These are axially longer according to the purpose Sequence a-b b-a joined together to form a buoy combination. This creates twisted rolls Departments equipped with blades (Sch) in the manner of the well-known water wheels which can also be staggered in sections, thus creating the shape of the swimming waterwheel is fixed (Fig. 1) A machine shaft in the conventional sense is unnecessary because the So formed swimming waterwheel results in a rigid, self-supporting cell and thus represents a wave itself in terms of shape and stability.
The two outer (a) buoys are used for axial stabilization special Suspension points used like cells, here called pole bearings (P). Take this an arbitrarily designed, with pole-bearing insert parts (P) provided, traverse, who also carries the pinion (R), gear (G) and dynamo (D) 71 and about the Pole bearing (P) also has forward and downward-facing floor stands (Bo), which Extend a useful piece beyond the radial circle (Fig. 2) Traverse centrally located mounting points for a holding fork (Ga) into which a large (a) -Uoje, which rotates like a wheel, is agitated, here called spur buoy (Fig. 3) This spur buoy and the traverse form the balance part of the swimming waterwheel and at the same time has the secondary function of a traverse with the floor stands (Bo) Tripod, if a tuning option for the swimming waterwheel at low tide is not given, but nevertheless the tips of the (a) buoys and thus also the scoop] n (Sch) can still walk in the water. The swimming waterwheel can be effective until the last Flow force work. In the case of drought, it hangs due to its presence The three-legged swimming waterwheel can move freely and when the water flow is restored it will function fully floating again.
Now the watering or swimming in can be done on the designated berth and anchoring done. With the watering up, the acting current sets in the rotation of the swimming waterwheel. The resulting torque is by means of a radial circle at any point on the periphery of the blade Gear rim (Z) from the pinion (R) of an automatic speed modulating Transmission (G) removed and transferred to the dynamo shaft to generate electricity.
The plant is depending on the possibility from the bank or from both banks off, on bridges or held by ground anchors, but otherwise works as a free-floating, self-regulating system for every occurring water level. A serious stress condition in a flood disaster is occurring Flotsam, which in extreme cases can be large ice floes or very bizarre, uprooted ones Trees can be. But the system can also cope with such flotsam, because it is bike, balanced and therefore rolls over it; also a deadlock of Branches or bulky goods prevent the running in their parts, respectively. slipping off held construction. The rest takes care of their own weight.
