Gefäße zur Herstellung und Aufbewahrung von Wasserstoffsuperoxyd. Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 4. Juni 1910 ab. Vessels for the production and storage of hydrogen peroxide. Patented in the German Empire on June 4, 1910.
One has so far for the representation and storage of hydrogen peroxide for diluted solutions lead vessels used. Tin was also found to be a for is a particularly suitable metal for the purpose mentioned.
It has now been found that aluminum by virtue of its passivity properties Production and storage of hydrogen peroxide are particularly suitable. if decomposition can also be observed on the vessel walls when using aluminum, so, strangely enough, nothing of the metal goes into solution, so that e.g. one in aluminum apparatus 30 percent hydrogen peroxide solution produced is completely stable after being poured into paraffin containers. With special The advantage of aluminum is where it is only a question of a shorter time in which the hydrogen peroxide is present the vessel walls comes into contact, so z. B. for hydrogen off superoxide distillation devices, namely for coolers, collecting vessels, pipelines, etc. Furthermore, the aluminum offers the possibility of larger quantities To send hydrogen peroxide in tank wagons, with particular advantage being the The inside of the vessels used must be polished, as there is less decomposition on smooth surfaces shows.
Aluminum alloys that show signs of passivity, e.g. B. with added magnesium, can be used for the stated purposes.
