The effect of the composition according to the invention described in the preceding preparation example in patients with dry irritative cough in the context of a common cold disease was observed, wherein in each case a daily dose of three lozenges was administered.

It was found that the administration of the composition of the invention according to Example 1, a significant reduction of the cough stimulus was achieved.
