Wie die Zeichnung zeigt, besteht das Nähpult aus einer auf einer Spindel c festsitzenden, aus Holz oder einem anderen Material gebildeten, oben gepolsterten Platte a, welche einen breiteren, den eigentlichen Nähplatz bildenden, n, und einen schmäleren, zur Auflage des linken Vorderarmes dienenden Teil m aufweist.
