Abstract
Device for isolating a surface region of a workpiece (3) from a fluid medium comprises a hollow chamber (4) having an opening (5) for receiving the workpiece, and a sealing element (61) for sealing the hollow chamber so that fluid medium can not enter the chamber during surface treatment of the workpiece. An independent claim is also included for a process for surface treating a workpiece using the above device.
