Lounger in the form of a garden lounger

The innovation relates to a lounger in the form of a garden lounger with motorised adjustment via drives of the head and/or foot section, whereby a base frame is arranged at a distance from the ground via foot elements and the base frame has a fixed seat element as a middle section and adjustable head and foot sections are arranged.

Garden loungers are available in a variety of designs. It is also common to have adjustable foot and head sections. The difficulty lies in creating a garden lounger with a comfortable, continuous lying surface and, thanks to a motorized adjustment, allowing the foot and head sections to be individually adjusted, while still being able to adjust them to suit the body.

The aim of the innovation is to improve garden loungers and to enable a body-friendly, individual, stepless adjustment of the head and foot sections via dedicated drives in a simple manner.

This problem is solved according to the innovation in that the adjustable foot part is formed from a transition element pivotally connected to the base frame with a foot element connected at the end via a joint, with the foot element being assigned at both sides at least two angle levers for essentially vertical adjustment, which are each fixedly pivoted one behind the other at the apex on the base frame and one arm of the angle lever in the rest position lies approximately parallel to the foot element and is pivoted at the foot element in its end region, while another arm of the angle lever is guided outwards and connected via a coupling, with the angle levers being adjustable via an associated drive and that the head element is pivotally pivoted to the base frame and can be adjusted on both sides via a drive lever acting as a push rod at a distance from the pivot point via the associated drive.

This makes it possible to create a continuous support surface and to easily adjust the head and foot sections continuously via controllable drives, whereby the free space under the bed is only insignificantly restricted.

An advantageous design for the drive is created in that armrests are formed between the head element and the base frame by levers which are connected to one another in an articulated manner via an angle and which are each articulated in their outer areas on the head element and on the base frame.

To ensure good lateral fixation of the head element with appropriate adjustment and to hold a support, armrests are formed between the head element and the base frame by levers which are connected to one another via an angle and which are each hinged in their outer areas to the head element and the base frame.

To adjust the support and set different degrees of hardness, it is proposed that the support surfaces formed are formed by spring strips.

A simple, adaptable adjustment is created by the drive lever for the head section being positioned at a distance from the linkage and engaging a roller on the head element's bar for adjustment.

Furthermore, a mains-independent design consists in the drive being formed by an electric motor with a battery. In a further development for easy handling during charging, the battery is designed as a plug-in exchange unit.

A simple design for control is that the drive can be controlled via an electronic remote control.

In the arrangement shown, a base frame 1 is arranged, which is set up at a distance from the floor via foot elements not shown in detail.

The lying surface is formed in the base frame 1 by an associated head element 2, seat element 3, transition element 4 to the foot element 5. The support surfaces can be formed by spring strips, which are not shown for better clarity.

The head element 2 is pivotably mounted on the inner end of the base frame 1 via bearing points 6, with an associated drive lever 7 pivotably connected to the base frame 1 as a push rod, which is adjustable via a drive unit 8 and engages the bar of the head element 2 via a roller 9. In this case, the drive is via a drive rod 10 running transversely on the base frame 1, which is acted upon by the drive unit 8 via a driver 11 and thus carries out an adjustment.

In addition, an armrest is arranged on both sides between the head element 2 and the base frame 1, which is each formed by levers 13, 14 which are connected in an articulated manner via an angle 12 and are articulated at their outer areas to the head element 2 and the base frame 1.

The transition element 4, which is pivotably connected to the base frame 1, is connected to the seat element 3 and is connected at the end to the actual foot element 5 via a joint 15. The foot element 5 is connected via two angle levers 16, 17 arranged one behind the other, with the apex 18 being connected to the base frame 1. In this case, one arm 19, 20 of the angle levers 16, 17 is connected to the foot element 5 at a distance from one another in its end region and lies approximately parallel to the foot element 5 in the rest position.

The other arms 21, 22 of the angle levers 16, 17 are guided outwards and connected via a coupling 23. In this case, the angle levers 16, 17 are driven via drive rods 24, 25 running transversely on the base frame 1, whereby the drive rod 24 is actuated by the drive unit 8 via a driver 26 and the drive rod 24 is connected to the angle lever 16 in the area of the apex 18. In this case, the parallel drive rod 25 is connected to the drive rod 24 via a coupling 27 for simultaneous adjustment and acts on the angle lever 17 in the same way. This results in a vertical adjustment of the foot element 5 via the angle levers 16, 17 during a drive movement.

In this case, a semi-circular table 28 is mounted on the base frame 1 and can be swung out into the outside area.

The drive unit 8 is formed by an electric motor operated by a battery, whereby the battery can be plugged on and charged as a replacement unit and is controlled via a remote control.

Claims (8)

1. Lounger in the form of a garden lounger with motorized adjustment via drives of the head and/or foot part, wherein a base frame is arranged at a distance from the ground via foot elements and the base frame has a fixed seat element as a middle part and adjustably assigned head and foot parts are arranged, characterized in that the adjustable foot part is formed from a transition element ( 4) pivotally articulated on the base frame (1 ) with a foot element ( 5 ) connected at the end via a joint ( 15 ), wherein the foot element ( 5 ) has at least two angle levers ( 16 , 17 ) assigned to both sides for essentially vertical adjustment, which are each fixedly articulated one behind the other at the apex ( 18 ) on the base frame ( 1 ) and one arm ( 19 , 20 ) of the angle lever ( 16 , 17 ) lies approximately parallel to the foot element ( 5 ) in the rest position and in its end area on the Foot element ( 5 ) is articulated, while a further arm ( 21 , 22 ) of the angle lever ( 16 , 17 ) is guided outwards and connected via a coupling ( 23 ), wherein the angle levers ( 16 , 17 ) are adjustable via an associated drive ( 8 ) and that the head element ( 2 ) is pivotally articulated on the base frame ( 1 ) and is adjustable on both sides via a drive lever ( 7 ) acting as a push rod at a distance from the articulation point via the associated drive ( 8 ). 2. Bed according to claim 1, characterized in that the rotatable drive rods ( 10 and 24 , 26 ) for the foot element ( 5 ) and the head element ( 2 ) arranged transversely to the base frame ( 1 ) are adjustable via drivers ( 11 , 26 ) by means of associated drives ( 8 ). 3. Bed according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that between the head element ( 2 ) and the base frame ( 1 ) armrests are formed by levers ( 13 , 14 ) which are connected to one another in an articulated manner via an angle ( 12 ), which are each articulated in their outer regions to the head element ( 2 ) and to the base frame ( 1 ). 4. Lounger according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the support surfaces formed are formed by spring strips. 5. Bed according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the drive lever ( 7 ) for the head part ( 2 ) engages at a distance from the articulation via a roller ( 9 ) on the bar of the head element ( 2 ) for adjustment. 6. Lounger according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the drive ( 8 ) is formed by an electric motor with accumulator. 7. Lounger according to claim 6, characterized in that the accumulator is designed as a plug-on exchange unit. 8. Lounger according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the drive ( 8 ) can be controlled via an electronic remote control.
