Die Zirkulation der Warmluft wird beeinträchtigt, wenn sich zwischen den Metallplatten Staub und Flusen ansammeln. Zur Beseitigung diese Staubes und der Flusen gibt es handbetätigte Reinigungsgeräte, die ein Staubwedel sind oder einem solchen ähneln. Aus DE 299 17 712.2 U1 ist bekannt, dass mit einer speziellen Bürstenanordnung an einem Rohr zwischen den Plattenheizkörpern Staub und Flusen langfristig entfernt werden können. Die dort beschriebene Lösung setzt aber voraus, dass die spezielle Bürstenanordnung gerade von oben in den Plattenheizkörper eingeführt wird.
