Hands-free device, particularly for use in a motor vehicle

The present invention relates to a hands-free device, in particular for use in a motor vehicle, according to one of claims 1 to 5. This can be mounted, for example, in a motor vehicle far away from a mobile telephone device and enables "hands-free" communication. The drawing shows in:

The hands-free device shown in Figures 1 and 2 comprises a housing 10 which is suitable for being connected to an electrical power source of a vehicle, building, aircraft, bus or the like. Various adapters 90, 91, 92, 93 and 94 are provided for this purpose. As Figures 2 to 6 show, the housing 10 has a lower shell as a base 11 and an upper shell as a housing cover 19, which are connected to one another. The base 11 has a housing section 12 with a receiving space 13 for one or more (rechargeable) batteries 14 and a cover 15 with which the batteries 14 are held in the receiving space 13 of the housing section 12.

The base 11 also has a loudspeaker 17, which is arranged in front of an interior 16 and faces the driver or a passenger (see Figure 1). An electrical circuit board 30 is accommodated in the interior 16 of the housing 10, which is fixed to the base 11 and has a telecommunications device according to the Blue Tooth standard, hereinafter also referred to as Blue Tooth device 31. The electrical circuit board 30 comprises a coupling element 32 for connection to a plug 95 (see Figure 2), which in turn is connected to an adapter 90 to 94 via a cable 96. The electrical circuit board 30 can be connected to the electrical power source of the vehicle, building, aircraft, bus or the like via this.

The circuit board 30 has an on/off switch 33, as well as a volume control 34, a switch element 35 for accepting a telephone call, a switch element 36 for ending a telephone call, a lighting device 37 for indicating the use of the circuit board 30 and a further coupling element 38, preferably in the form of a standardized socket, for connecting earphones or headphones and the like.

The housing cover 19 has one or more antennas 20 which are connected to the Bluetooth device 31 in order to receive telephone calls from or send them to portable telephone devices 99 wirelessly (see Figure 1). In addition, two manual operating elements 21 and 22 are provided on the housing cover 19, which are aligned with the switch elements 35 and 36, so that when actuated, for example by pressing down, the switch elements 35 and 36 are actuated. The housing cover 19 also has a loudspeaker 23, through which voice or other sound signals are reproduced when making a telephone call. It is also possible to provide a microphone instead of the loudspeaker 23 or to swap the microphone and loudspeaker 17. It is also conceivable to use a microphone/loudspeaker combination on the base 11 or on the housing cover 19 or on both. Furthermore, an optical display device 24 for displaying an incoming telephone call is provided on the housing cover 19, which is designed, for example, as a lamp. The Bluetooth device 31 receives telephone call signals wirelessly from a mobile telephone device 99 and sends such signals wirelessly to such a device. This allows the hands-free device 10 and the mobile telephone device 99 to be arranged independently of one another. In particular, the hands-free device 10 can be conveniently positioned for a driver or passenger.

Claims (5)

1. Hands-free device, comprising a housing ( 10 ), at least one battery ( 14 ) accommodated in the housing ( 10 ) and also an electrical circuit board ( 30 ) arranged in the housing ( 10 ), characterized in that a Bluetooth device ( 31 ) is provided on the circuit board ( 30 ) and furthermore an antenna ( 20 ) is connected to the Bluetooth device ( 31 ). 2. Hands-free device according to claim 1, characterized in that the circuit board ( 30 ) has a first coupling element ( 32 ), a second coupling element ( 38 ), a controller ( 34 ), a first switch element ( 35 ) and a second switch element ( 36 ), as well as a light source ( 37 ). 3. Hands-free device according to claim 2, characterized in that the housing ( 10 ) has a housing cover ( 19 ) which in turn is provided with two manual operating elements ( 21 , 22 ) which are aligned with the switch elements ( 35 , 36 ) and interact with them, and a light source ( 24 ). 4. Hands-free device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the housing ( 10 ) has a housing section ( 12 ) with a receiving space ( 13 ) for a battery ( 14 ), and a cover ( 15 ) for closing the receiving space ( 13 ) of the housing section ( 12 ). 5. Hands-free device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the Blue Tooth device ( 31 ) is configured to wirelessly exchange telephone signals with an external mobile telephone device ( 99 ), which are picked up via a microphone provided on the housing ( 10 ) and reproduced by a loudspeaker provided on the latter.
