Claims

1. Floorboard for bridging a gap between two floor coverings, consisting of a base profile with two vertically upwardly extending legs at a distance from one another and a cover profile placed thereon with legs reaching downwards, between which an adapter is inserted as a connecting piece, which is formed by a crosspiece with two upwardly extending legs and one downwardly extending leg, characterized in that the upwardly extending legs ( 7 , 8 ) of the base profile ( 2 ) and those ( 14 , 15 ) of the adapter ( 3 ) have the same external dimensions and their spacing ( 27 ) corresponds to the width ( 28 ) of the leg ( 16 ) directed downwards from the adapter ( 3 ), the cover profile ( 4 ) in its lowest position placed on the adapter ( 3 ) with its downwardly extending legs ( 26 ) covering both the upwardly extending legs ( 14 , 15 ) of the adapter ( 3 ) as well as that of the part underneath.

2. Floorboard according to claim 1, characterized in that the legs ( 7 , 8 , 14 , 15 ) are covered on both sides with a grid ( 11 , 12 ), preferably with a groove, toothing or the like.

3. Floorboard according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the legs ( 7 , 8 , 14 , 15 ) are provided with a grid ( 11 ) on their outer surface over the entire height.

Floorboard according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the front end ( 18 ) of the upright legs ( 7 , 8 , 14 , 15 ) has a longitudinal groove ( 19 ) or a web ( 21 ) in the longitudinal direction of the strip and the crossbar ( 13 ) of the adapter ( 3 ) has a corresponding web ( 21 ) or groove ( 19 ) on its underside ( 20 ), where the leg ( 7 , 8 ) comes to rest on the crossbar ( 13 ) at the front.

5. Floorboard according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adapter ( 3 ) is Y-shaped in its cross section and, when plugged together, has outer walls aligned with the base profile ( 2 ) and/or a further adapter ( 3 ).

6. Floorboard according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the base profile ( 2 ) on the base flange ( 9 ) has a longitudinal rib ( 24 ) in the direction of the strip at a distance from the leg ( 8 ).

7. Floorboard according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that material recesses in the direction of the strip are provided between the upright legs ( 7 , 8 , 14 , 15 ) of the base profile ( 2 ) and the adapter ( 3 ) in the base area.

8. Floorboard according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a base profile ( 2 ) with at least one plugged-together adapter part ( 3 ) forms a uniform block with aligned outer surfaces, which are equipped with a grid ( 11 ).

9. Floorboard according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the legs ( 26 , 27 ) of the cover profile ( 4 ) are designed to be so long that, when the cover profile ( 4 ) is completely placed on the adapter ( 3 ) up to the stop, they also grip the part located under the adapter ( 3 ) with their teeth.
