1. Electric sandwich grill with:

- a first housing part ( 1 ) with a first shell ( 12 ), a first handle ( 11 ) attached to one side thereof, a first grill plate ( 14 ), at least one snap device ( 4 ) installed in the first handle to engage with the first grill plate, a pair of pivot pins ( 3 ) attached to the two side ends of the first shell, and a first heating insulation plate ( 16 ) housed in the first shell and having a first heating element ( 18 ) for heating the first grill plate; and

- a second housing part ( 2 ) with a second shell ( 52 ), a second handle ( 51 ) attached to one side thereof, a second grill plate ( 54 ), at least one snap device ( 4 ) installed in the second handle to engage with the first grill plate, a pair of pivot bushings ( 7 ) attached to the two side ends of the second shell and in which the pivot pins are slidably installed, and a second heating insulating plate ( 56 ) attached in the second shell and having a second heating element ( 58 ) for heating the second grill plate;

- whereby the two housing parts can assume the following positions:

a) lying on top of each other;

b) folded open at approximately 90° against each other;

c) fully unfolded so that both grill plates are on the same level, and

d) the first housing part runs parallel to the first, but is raised relative to it.

2. Sandwich grill according to claim 1, characterized by a ring ( 2 ) which can be inserted between the first and the second housing part.

3. Sandwich grill according to claim 2, characterized in that the ring ( 2 ) is provided with a surrounding wall and several suspension elements ( 24 ) on this.

Sandwich grill according to claim 1, characterized in that the first and second handles ( 11 , 51 ) each have a pair of snap devices ( 4 ), each of which further has a receiving seat, a snap structure for snapping with the first and second grill plates ( 14 , 54 ) respectively, and an elastic element connected to the rear end of the snap structure.

- each of the pivot pins ( 3 ) comprises a plate ( 32 ) attached to the first shell ( 12 ) and a pivot pin ( 34 ) and a positioning lever ( 36 ) attached thereto; and

- each of the pivot bushings ( 7 ) comprises a carrier attached to the second shell ( 52 ), an elongated ring and a U-shaped nose attached to the carrier, the elongated ring further comprising a rear and a front side plate, the front side plate containing an opening while the rear side plate has a slot aligned with the opening such that the pivot pins of the pivots are slidably installed in the elongated ring, the positioning levers of the pivots being positioned in the elongated ring or on the U-shaped nose.

Sandwich grill according to claim 1, characterized by an oil collection plate with a plurality of radially distributed ribs, a circular raised rib which stands up from the center, a circular groove on the circumference of the circular raised ring, a front and a rear elongated groove which extend forward and rearward from the circular groove, respectively, the oil collection plate being inclined downwards from the edge to the center and the rear elongated groove being inclined downwards from the center to the edge and having an oil outlet at its lowest part.
