Abstract

The cart picks up the container and secures the picked up container. A catch hook (8a) engages automatically into the container for securing the container. A tube shackle (7) engages with a positive fit in a bead provided at the container.

Description

Transport trolley

The invention relates to a transport trolley for transporting a container with means for picking up the container and means for securing the picked up container.

A wide variety of transport trolleys are known in practice, most of which have two wheels and a platform as well as one or two handles. Containers such as crates of drinks can be picked up on the platform. To ensure that the containers do not fall down during transport, especially when several containers are stacked on top of each other, means are provided to secure the containers. These means are formed, for example, by an elastic band that lashes the container to the transport trolley. However, this type of securing is relatively cumbersome and does not guarantee sufficient hold, especially with heavy containers.

The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a transport trolley which is characterized by more reliable and easier to handle securing means.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of claim 1 in that the means for securing the received container have a catch hook which automatically engages the container.

According to a preferred embodiment, the transport trolley is designed to transport special plant protection product containers that are round and have a circumferential groove at the top and bottom. On the upper edge of the barrel, there are two handle openings opposite each other, some of which extend into the circumferential groove.

For this application, the means for holding the container comprise a tubular bracket which engages in a form-fitting manner with the bead on the container.

Such a transport trolley allows the container to be picked up without having to tilt it or at least hold it in place. The automatically locking catch hook ensures that the container is reliably secured.

The transport trolley shown essentially consists of two wheels 1 and 2 connected via an axle 3, a vertical strut 4 which is attached to the axle 3 at one end and has a handle 5 at its other end.

The means for receiving a container 6 comprise a tubular bracket 7 which is designed such that it positively engages in a bead 6a provided on the container 6.

In the area of the vertical strut 4, at the level of the upper container edge 6b, a catch hook 8a is pivotably mounted about an axis 8b.

The container 6 shown, for example, is a special plant protection agent container with a capacity of 50 liters. It is round and has

a circumferential bead 6a, 6c at the top and bottom. Two openings 6d, 6e are provided in the container lid for filling and emptying. In the upper, circumferential container edge 6b there are two opposite handle openings 6f, which partially extend into the circumferential bead 6c.

In addition to the catch hook 8a, the securing means 8 also have a receiving tab 8c which can be inserted into one of the handle openings 6f of the container when the container 6 is picked up.

The catch hook 8a is designed and arranged in such a way that it is automatically pushed upwards by the upper container edge 6b and then falls downwards behind the container edge, thus securing the container to the transport trolley. A lever-like projection 8d attached to the catch hook 8a serves to pivot the catch hook about the axis 8b when the container 6 is to be released.

In the embodiment shown, the receiving lug is designed as a bracket. However, a design as a plate is also conceivable. The catch hook 8a is expediently supported on the receiving lug 8c before the container is picked up.

The transport trolley also has a foot bar 9, which can be arranged either horizontally (Fig. 1) or obliquely upwards (Fig. 2).

The container can then be immediately maneuvered with minimal effort without having to be touched. To release the catch hook 8a, the transport trolley can be easily held with one hand so that the lever 8d can be operated with the other hand.

The height of axle 3 above the ground and thus the tipping point of the transport trolley is selected so that the container can be lifted with very little effort due to the long lever distance of the handle. It is even possible for the container to be placed on a pallet with the transport trolley without additional lever devices.

Claims (8)

Transport trolley for transporting a container with means for receiving the container and means for securing the received container ( 6 ), characterized in that the means for securing the received container have a catch hook ( 8a ) which automatically engages the container. 2. Transport trolley according to claim 1, characterized in that the catch hook ( 8a ) is pivotally mounted. 3. Transport trolley according to claim 1, characterized in that the means for receiving the container have at least one tubular bracket ( 7 ) which engages in a form-fitting manner in a bead ( 6a ) provided on the container. 4. Transport trolley according to claim 1, characterized in that the catch hook ( 8 a) is arranged such that it engages an upper edge ( 6 b) of the container. 5. Transport trolley according to claim 1, characterized in that the means for securing the received container further comprise a receiving tab ( 8 c) which can be inserted into a handle opening ( 6 f) of the container when the container is received. 6. Transport trolley according to claim 1, characterized in that the means for securing the received container further comprise a receiving tab ( 8 c) which can be inserted into a handle opening ( 6 f) of the container when the container is received, the catch hook ( 8 a) being supported on the receiving tab before the container is received. 7. Transport trolley according to claim 1, characterized in that it has a foot bar ( 9 ). 8. Transport trolley according to claim 1, characterized in that it has two wheels ( 1 , 2 ).
