Aus Gründen der Unfallverhütung besteht in Deutschland die Pflicht, an bestimmten Kommunalfahrzeugen, insbesondere Müllsammeifahrzeugen und Kehrmaschinen am Heck mit einer Kamera auszurüsten, die mittels eines Weitwinkelobjektives den Rückraum des Fahrzeuges aufnimmt und das Bild auf einen im Fahrerhaus angebrachten Monitor leitet.
