Acetylsalicylic acid plus vitamins

The invention relates to a vitamin-containing medicinal preparation (acetylsalicylic acid plus vitamins) in which the therapeutic success is improved and undesirable side effects are reduced.

One of the most commonly used painkillers is the (effervescent) tablet containing ASA. Such (effervescent) tablets usually contain 100 (up to 1000 mg) ASA.

The spectrum of therapeutic use of such an (effervescent) tablet ranges from the use to achieve blood thinning in the therapeutic range, which is caused by the inhibition of platelet aggregation, to pain therapy.

The ASA (effervescent) tablet is often used in pain therapy, preferably for the treatment of headaches.

Since ASA (effervescent) tablets are part of the standard equipment of almost every medicine cabinet and are also used in a variety of ways and frequently, the task arose of improving the inherently good therapeutic properties of ASA in combination with vitamins and mineral trace elements in order to increase the therapeutic success and minimize annoying side effects of ASA.

It is known that under the influence of ASA, vitamin C is excreted from the body in increased amounts, therefore an optimized dose-effect relationship is essential.

A negative balance of vitamin C in the organism, even short-term, i.e. lasting for a few days, which arises either through increased requirements or insufficient coverage of requirements or a vitamin-poor, one-sided food composition, or even a combination of all three variants at the same time, is responsible, among other things, for minor manifest breakdowns of the immune system.
An example of this is gingivitis, skin inflammation (acne), herpes manifestations, etc.

An inadequate supply of vitamin C to the body over a long period of time causes irreversible damage. One example of this is the receding of the gums, which exposes the necks of the teeth, which are a popular target for tooth decay.

Stressful situations, environmental pollution, pain, feverish infections, increased consumption of stimulants and/or cigarettes, medication (especially analgesics, antibiotics, anticonvulsants, hormones) and extreme psychological demands massively increase the need for vitamin C, as well as all water-soluble vitamins. As the number of the above-mentioned points that apply to a person increases, the likelihood of the person's increasing loss of appetite increases, and thus the risk of nutrient deficiencies if the increased need is not covered by supplementation.

At this point I would like to mention the drug users. Several studies have clearly shown that this population group, which is made up of people from all walks of life, has a reduced vitamin C level.

The reason for this is probably primarily a reduced intake through food.

When alcohol is consumed, the loss of all water-soluble vitamins increases, but above all the vitamins of the vitamin B complex are affected, i.e. vitamin Bi (thiamine), vitamin Ba (riboflavin), vitamin B ₆ (pyridoxine), folate, nicotinamide, vitamin Bs (dexapanthenol) and vitamin B3 (biotin), as well as vitamin C and several mineral trace elements; but the body also needs additional vitamins of the vitamin B complex and vitamin C to break down alcohol.

Annual alcohol consumption in Germany is approximately 111 liters of pure alcohol per capita, i.e. on average across Germany, almost 7% of total calories are consumed in the form of alcohol.

Alcohol is the cause of hospital treatment for approximately 35% of men and 10% of women of working age.

In addition, many alcohol consumers are also moderate to heavy smokers.

If you study their behavioral patterns, one thing is particularly striking: they almost always treat the morning-after headache caused by alcohol consumption in the same way: with strong coffee and aspirin!

However, ASA promotes inflammatory processes in the body.

Adding rutin to aspirin with vitamin C has been shown to enhance the effects of vitamin C. In addition, rutin promotes capillary blood flow, thus helping to relieve pain more quickly.

It was also found that the effect of the ASA (effervescent) tablet can be significantly increased if the vitamins of the vitamin B complex, i.e. vitamin Vit.Bi (thiamine), Vit.B2 (riboflavin), Vit.Bo (pyridoxine), folate, nicotinamide, Vit.Bs (dexapanthenol) and Vit.B3 (biotin) are added to an (effervescent) tablet.

The water-soluble vitamins of the vitamin B complex have a protective effect on the entire gastrointestinal tract.
Since the vitamins of the vitamin B complex are important components of many synthesis pathways and are necessary for a healthy nervous system and healthy brain function, and their need increases in cases of pain or fever, i.e. stress, or after alcohol consumption, the combination of the vitamins of the vitamin B complex with ASA shows a resounding success in combating pain and relieving states of exhaustion, and thus improves the quality of life.

If you add the mineral trace element zinc, you can greatly minimize the inflammatory processes in the body; excessive sweating on the extremities can also be successfully reduced.
Like all other drugs, ASA also has an apex of maximum effectiveness. When the effectiveness decreases, the vitamins of the vitamin B complex in particular, but also vitamin C, show a certain buffering effect, which leads to an extension of the pain-free period.

With this combination of ASA with vitamins and mineral trace elements, one can achieve a higher quality of life, as well as a certain increase in performance, since in many cases repeated doses of ASA are no longer necessary, or the time intervals between individual doses can be greatly delayed, it is clear that this also minimizes side effects.

N-Butylscopolamine bromide with Vit.C, Vit B complex, iron

N-butylscopolamine bromide, an antispasmodic used for mild to moderate pain in the stomach and intestines as well as the female genitals.

N-Butylscopolamine bromide is widely used in gynecology, precisely because of its antispasmodic effect, and is a spasmolytic of choice for menstrual complaints.

Many women regularly take N-butylscopolamine bromide several days, i.e. 5 - 3 days, before their monthly menstruation, because this is when premenstrual symptoms begin to appear.

However, in many women the severe pain and spasms that occur are associated with anemia. It has now been found that the addition of iron to an N-butylscopolamine bromide preparation with vitamins, the vitamin B complex and vitamin C resulted in considerable relief from pain.

The pain and spasms that occur during menstruation were also successfully reduced, with a low overall dosage of N-butylscopolamine bromide tablets taken in combination with vitamins from the vitamin B complex, vitamin C and iron. With this combination, a higher quality of life was achieved through greater freedom from pain and cramps during the premenstrual days and menstruation.

N-butylscopolamine bromide with paracetamol, Vit.C, Vit.B complex, iron

N-butylscopolamine bromide with paracetamol, an antispasmodic drug used in cases of severe pain.

N-butylscopolamine bromide preparation with paracetamol is also widely used in gynecology. This preparation in this combination is taken by women with very severe menstrual problems, which are usually accompanied by major blood loss.

It was found that a combination of N-butylscopolamine bromide and paracetamol with iron, vitamins from the vitamin B complex and vitamin C produced the best results. The time intervals between taking the individual doses could even be extended. The vitamins from the vitamin B complex and vitamin C improved the condition of the skin during the menstrual period.

Aciclovir with vitamins

Aciclovir, a virostatic drug that is administered for herpes simplex viruses (types 1 and 2) and varicella zoster viruses. Patients suffering from this disease often suffer relapses of the disease. This disease manifests itself primarily in people with a damaged or weakened immune system.

In order to minimize the considerable relapse rates of the disease, it has now been found that it can be successfully treated preventively by adding vitamin C to the main active ingredient aciclovir, in a ratio of 2:1 (aciclovir : vitamin C), as well as rutin (in a ratio of 4 with vitamin C), as well as the vitamins belonging to the B complex.

This combination of acyclovir with vitamins (vitamin C, rutin, and the vitamins belonging to the B complex) has resulted in a much more effective treatment, as the course of the disease is milder.

Since rutin increases the effectiveness of vitamin C and promotes capillary blood flow, the otherwise good therapeutic effect of aciclovir can be developed more efficiently than before.

The typical blisters or bubbles that cause skin defects and skin spots during the course of treatment could also be reduced by the targeted addition of vitamins that belong to the vitamin B complex to the main active ingredient aciclovir.

The treatment was completed more quickly and with much greater success. This new combination of aciclovir with vitamins also significantly reduced the relapse rate.

Aciclovir ointment (cream) with vitamins and mineral trace elements

For the external treatment of manifest symptoms of the herpes simplex virus (types 1 and 2) and the varicella zoster virus, an ointment (cream) with the main active ingredient aciclovir is used.

Here too, it was found that the effect of the acyclovir ointment (cream) could be significantly increased if the fat-soluble vitamins (vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin D3), the mineral trace element selenium, and a minimal dose of the vitamins belonging to the vitamin B complex were added to the main active ingredient acyclovir contained in the ointment (cream).

With this combination of radical-binding antioxidants, the synergistic effect of these vitamins in combination with selenium was exploited to successfully accelerate the healing process with minimal doses.

This novel combination of aciclovir ointment (cream) with the above-mentioned vitamins prevented the scabs that had formed during the blister healing process from tearing.

The resulting skin defects and skin spots could now be treated more quickly and successfully. The itching of the healing scabs could also be significantly minimized.

Claims (6)

1. Medicinal preparation, characterized in that it contains, in addition to the main substance, one or more vitamins and optionally also mineral trace elements in order to improve the therapeutic success and/or to reduce the side effects occurring when one or more main substances are administered. 2. Medicinal preparation according to claim 1, characterized in that it contains in an (effervescent) tablet containing acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) in addition to vitamin C also rutin, the vitamins belonging to the vitamin B complex and zinc in an amount sufficient to improve the therapeutic success and/or to reduce the undesirable side effects. 3. Medicinal preparation according to claim, characterized in that, in addition to the main substance N-butylscopolamine bromide, vitamin C, the vitamins belonging to the vitamin B complex, it also contains iron in an amount sufficient to improve the therapeutic success and/or to reduce the undesirable side effects. 4. Medicinal preparation according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises, in addition to the main substances N-butylscopolamine bromide and paracetamol, vitamin C, the vitamins belonging to the vitamin B complex, also iron in an amount sufficient to improve the therapeutic success and/or to reduce the undesirable side effects. 5. Medicinal preparation according to claim 1, characterized in that in an orally administered aciclovir preparation, vitamin C, rutin, the vitamins belonging to the vitamin B complex are included in an amount sufficient to improve the therapeutic success and/or to reduce the undesirable side effects. 6. Medicinal preparation according to claim 1, characterized in that in an externally applied aciclovir preparation (ointment, cream) the vitamins belonging to the vitamin B complex as well as vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin D3 and selenium are included in an amount sufficient to improve the therapeutic success and/or to reduce the undesirable side effects.
