Description

Presentation device for electronic devices

The invention relates to a presentation device for electronic devices with the further features of the preamble of claim 1.

In order to present camcorders, laptops, video cameras or other electronic devices to the customer, these devices are usually arranged on a shelf with one or more sockets on the back so that the customer can test the electronic device. The power cables are often hidden behind the device, with the cables being bent. The external appearance of such a presentation does not make a good impression and actually reduces the value of the object being presented. In such product presentations, the goods to be presented are often

secured with electronic anti-theft elements.

Instead of a shelf, there are also presentation solutions that consist of a box-like lower part on which an upper part with a presentation surface is arranged. The goods to be presented are located on the presentation surface, whereby the surface of the upper part can be provided with a plurality of recesses in order to variably arrange support elements for the goods to be presented. This makes it possible to create the necessary space depending on the size of the object to be presented. However, such presentation devices also have the disadvantage that they are difficult to assemble, and the cable connections are difficult to access when arranging the goods to be presented. Such presentation devices are also often subject to optical requirements.

The invention is therefore based on the object of developing a presentation device with the features of the preamble of claim 1 in such a way that it is easy to handle and at the same time is optically designed in such a way that the product can be seen optimally and in an advertising-effective manner.

This object is achieved by the entire teaching of claim 1. Advantageous further developments of the presentation device arise from the subclaims 2 - 26.

According to the invention, the lower part is designed like a box that is open at the top and the upper part is guided in the lower part like a drawer in such a way that when the upper part is in the extended position, the interior of the upper part is freely accessible for making or modifying cable connections and when pushed in, the lower part and the upper part form a closed, box-like unit. The arrangement of the electronic devices and their power connection is therefore extremely practical and easy to handle. The goods to be presented can first be placed on the presentation surface of the upper part and then the necessary cable connections can be made in the open box. The upper part then only has to be pushed into the lower part so that a closed, box-like unit is formed that also meets all requirements in terms of appearance. The cables or even a mess of cables are no longer visible to the customer, so that only the electronic product is in the foreground, which also has a corresponding advertising effect.

It is particularly advantageous to have the surface of the upper part tilted forwards like a desk. This makes the electronic devices arranged one behind the other on the presentation surface of the upper part clearly visible. It is also possible to place a monitor in the rear, upper area of the

upper part, which can then be operated by an electronic device located at the front and further down.

The surface of the upper part can be provided with mounting recesses in order to quickly and securely attach the support elements for the goods to be presented. The mounting recesses are of course suitably adapted to the support elements or the corresponding mounting means.

The mounting recesses can run across the surface of the top part so that the entire surface of the top part can be used to present the goods. In addition, the support elements can be variably arranged at any point in the mounting recesses.

In particular, at least two mounting recesses running parallel to each other are provided so that the electronic devices can be arranged in at least two rows, which on the one hand saves space and on the other hand also leads to a special visual appearance.

For example, a laptop can be placed on the front support element and the corresponding loudspeaker boxes can be placed on the two rear, outward-set support elements.

Column-like support elements can be attached to the surface in the area of the mounting recesses, which give the goods to be presented a secure stand and can also be optically designed in a special way to make the product arranged on them appear as if it were on a pedestal, so that the electronic device is presented as particularly valuable.

The support elements can engage with pin-like projections in the mounting recesses so that the other area of the lower edge of the column-like support elements sits on the surface of the upper part. The

The advantage is that the support elements are securely attached to the upper part, even when the weight of the object to be presented is also applied.

The underside of the support elements can be designed at an angle so that the support elements run vertically in the final assembly state. Additional aids for the vertical arrangement of the support elements are therefore not necessary.

Advantageously, the mounting recesses can be delimited by projections projecting downwards from the surface of the upper part, against which the pin-like projections of the support elements can rest, so that they are stabilized in their position. In addition, the downwardly projecting projections prevent the mounting recesses from having sharp edges, which could potentially damage the support elements.

The fastening of the column-like support elements can now be carried out in such a way that the column-like support elements are fastened by means of a screw element that passes through the center of the column and engages in the mounting recess, whereby U-shaped elements in cross section are held from below against the projections of the mounting recesses by the mounting screw. This fastening method consists of only a few components, is characterized by its ease of assembly and also ensures that the support elements are securely fastened to the upper part.

The presentation platforms can be provided with engagement elements that interact with counter elements on the upper edge of the column-like support elements. In particular, the counter elements engage with correspondingly shaped engagement elements on the presentation platforms. The counter or engagement elements can be designed in a partially circular shape, whereby the presentation platforms are securely connected to the support element even when subjected to uneven loading due to the weight of the electronic device on them.

The side parts of the lower part can be essentially triangular and thus adapted to the forward-inclined position of the surface of the upper part. Likewise, the side parts of the upper part can also be essentially triangular so that the upper part, which acts like a drawer, is also adapted to the inclined position of the surface.

Guide elements can be arranged between the inside of the side parts of the lower part and the outside of the side parts running at right angles to the desk-like surface of the upper part, so that the upper part can be easily pushed into the lower part. The guide elements are in particular designed like rails.

The side panels and/or the rear wall of the base can be provided with recesses through which the cables can be led outwards, e.g. to a socket.

The presentation device is advantageously designed in such a way that a plurality of lower parts with upper parts arranged so as to be movable therein can be mounted next to one another to form an extended presentation unit. In this way, an unlimited number of electronic devices can be shown. The through-holes in the side parts of the adjacent

assembled lower parts are aligned with each other so that the cables can be routed over a sufficiently long distance without being visible from the outside.

The rear edges of the side parts can be provided with hook elements for hanging the lower parts in a presentation holder or the like. The presentation holder can, for example, be provided with corresponding grid-like recesses into which the hook elements can be hung.

Both the top and bottom edges of the top surface can be provided with angled bends, which increases the stability of the top and at the same time avoids sharp outer edges.

The top of the upper part can be formed by a plurality of rail-like profile elements arranged in the same plane and spaced parallel to one another, with the spacing between the rail elements forming the mounting recess. The upper part is thus characterized by a simple and functional structure that is easy and cost-effective to manufacture.

The upper part can be locked into the lower part when pushed in, so that the correct insertion position can be seen and locking the insertion position is easier. The ability to lock the upper and lower parts when pushed in is practical and serves as an additional anti-theft device.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the column-like support elements can be provided with switching elements in order to switch on electronic devices located on the support elements or presentation platforms.

to be tested individually. In particular, light elements can be arranged on the switching elements to indicate the operating state.

Furthermore, a screen unit for presenting video images or descriptions of activated devices can be provided in the area of the rear edge of the upper part. This increases the customer's attention to the object presented even more.

Reference number 1 designates the presentation device for electronic devices in its entirety. In particular, consumer electronics devices such as video cameras, camcorders, CD players or the like are shown to customers with the presentation device in such a way that they can optimally see and experience their respective functions. The presentation device 1 consists of a box-like lower part 2 and an upper part 3 which represents a presentation surface and on which the goods to be presented are stored in a way that can be secured using electronic anti-theft elements if necessary. The surface of the upper part 3 is provided with a plurality of mounting recesses 4 in order to variably arrange support elements 5 for the goods to be presented. The lower part 2 is designed in the manner of a box that is open at the top and the upper part 3 is guided in the lower part 2 in the manner of a drawer in such a way that when the upper part 3 is in the extended position, the interior of the upper part 3 is freely accessible for making or modifying cable connections and when pushed in, the lower part 2 and the upper part 3 form a closed, box-like unit. Figures 1 and 2 show the presentation device in the open position and it can be seen that the interior is freely accessible without having to remove the upper part 3. The modification or production of the cable connections or the like can thus be carried out in a simple manner when the electronic devices are already on the presentation surface, in particular on the presentation platforms 11.

The surface 6 or the top of the upper part 3 is inclined forwards like a desk, which is particularly advantageous when several electronic devices or components thereof are arranged one behind the other on the presentation surface so that each individual device is clearly visible. The overall appearance of the presentation device is also extremely attractive due to the forward-inclined surface and thus also increases the value and advertising effectiveness of the object being presented.

The surface 6 of the upper part 3 is provided with mounting recesses 4 which run across the surface 6. The support elements can thus be arranged at any location within the respective mounting recess 4. In the devices shown in the drawing figures, two mounting recesses 4 running parallel to one another are arranged, with a column-like support element 5 being fastened in the front mounting recess 4 and two column-like support elements 5 being fastened in the rear mounting recess 4.

To describe the fastening of these support elements 5, reference is made to Figures 5, 6 and 7. As can be seen from these drawing figures, the support elements 5 have pin-like projections 7 which engage in the mounting recesses 4. The lower edge of the support elements 5, which is set back compared to the pin-like projections 7, sits stably on the surface 6. The underside of the support elements 5 is formed at an angle such that the support elements 5 run vertically in the final assembly state.

The mounting recesses 4 are delimited by projections 8 that protrude downwards from the surface 6 of the upper part 3. These projections 8 serve, among other things, to stabilize the support element 5 engaging with its pin-like projections 7, as well as the stability of the upper part 3 itself.

The column-like support elements 5 are fastened by means of a screw element 9 which passes through the center of the column and engages in the mounting recess 4, whereby elements 10 which are U-shaped in cross section are held from below against the projections 8 of the mounting recesses 4 by the screw element 9. This type of fastening of the support elements 5 is particularly easy to install and can also be easily removed again.

On the top of the column-like support elements 5, presentation platforms 11 are arranged, on which the electronic devices are positioned.

The presentation platforms 11 are provided with engagement elements 12 which interact with counter-elements 13 on the upper edge of the column-like support elements 5. The engagement elements 12 are designed as part-circular recesses into which the counter-elements 13 engage.

Reference is again made to Figures 1 to 4 below. The side parts 14 of the lower part 2 are essentially triangular. Rail-like guide elements 16 are arranged between the inside of these side parts 14 of the lower part 2 and the outside of the side parts 15 running at right angles to the desk-like surface of the upper part 3. Using these guide elements 16, the upper and lower parts can be easily pushed into one another like drawers.

The side parts 14 of the lower part 2 are provided with through-holes 17 for cables of the electronic devices to pass through. The rear wall 18 of the lower part 2 also has through-holes 17 through which cables can also be led out.

As shown in Figure 4, a plurality of lower parts 2 with upper parts 3 arranged so as to be movable therein can be mounted next to one another to form an extended presentation unit 19. This makes it possible to present any number of electronic devices, while at the same time maintaining the closed, box-like unit. The above-described through-holes 17 in the side parts 14 of the lower parts 2 mounted on one another are aligned with one another in order to guide the cables running therein from one end of the presentation unit 19 to any other location.

Cables then exit through the rectangular recesses 17 in the rear wall 18 of the lower part 2.

In order to position the presentation device 1 at eye level, the rear edges 20 of the side parts 14 have hook elements 21 which are provided for hanging the lower parts 2 in a presentation holder or the like.

The upper edge 27 and the lower edge 28 of the surface 6 of the upper part 3 are provided with angular bends 22 which increase the stability of the upper part 3.

As can be seen in particular from Figure 5, the upper side of the upper part 3 is formed by a plurality of rail-like profile elements 23 arranged at the same level and parallel to one another, the spacing between the profile elements 23 forming the mounting recess 4. The upper part 3 can be manufactured relatively easily in this way.

The upper part 3 can be locked into the lower part 2 in the inserted position and can also be locked in the lower part 2 in this inserted state.

In the embodiment according to Figure 3, the column-like support elements 5 are provided with switching elements 24 in order to switch on electronic devices presented on the support elements 5 or on the presentation platforms 11 (these are not shown in Figure 3). This allows the customer to individually switch on the device that interests him. If this is a video camera, for example, this can be connected to the screen unit 26 arranged in the area of the upper edge 27 of the upper part 3 in order to present video images. All video devices are expediently connected to the screen unit 26, whereby the customer can select a specific device by means of

Claims (26)

1. Presentation device for electronic devices, in particular entertainment electronic devices such as video cameras, camcorders, CD players, MP 3 players and the like, consisting of or comprising - a box-like lower part ( 2 ) and an upper part ( 3 ) representing a presentation surface, on which the goods to be presented are stored in a secure manner, if necessary by means of electronic anti-theft elements, and the surface of the upper part ( 3 ) is provided with a plurality of recesses in order to variably arrange support elements ( 5 ) for the goods to be presented, characterized in that - the lower part ( 2 ) is designed in the manner of a box open at the top, and the upper part ( 3 ) is guided in the manner of a drawer in the lower part ( 2 ) such that when the upper part ( 3 ) is in the extended position, the interior of the upper part ( 3 ) is freely accessible for making or modifying cable connections and when pushed in, the lower part ( 2 ) and the upper part ( 3 ) form a closed, box-like unit. 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the surface ( 6 ) of the upper part ( 3 ) is inclined forwards like a desk. 3. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the surface ( 6 ) of the upper part ( 3 ) is provided with mounting recesses ( 4 ). 4. Device according to claim 3, characterized in that the mounting recesses ( 4 ) run transversely across the surface ( 6 ) of the upper part ( 3 ). 5. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least two mounting recesses ( 4 ) running parallel to one another are arranged. 6. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that columnar support elements ( 5 ) are fastened to the surface ( 6 ) in the region of the mounting recesses ( 4 ). 7. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the carrier elements ( 5 ) engage in the mounting recesses ( 4 ) with pin-like projections ( 7 ). 8. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the underside of the support elements ( 5 ) is formed at an angle such that the support elements ( 5 ) run vertically in the final assembled state. 9. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the mounting recesses ( 4 ) are delimited by projections ( 8 ) projecting downwards from the surface ( 6 ) of the upper part ( 3 ). 10. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the column-like support elements ( 5 ) are fastened by means of a screw element ( 9 ) which passes centrally through the column and engages in the mounting recess ( 4 ), wherein elements ( 10 ) which are U-shaped in cross section are held from below against the projections ( 8 ) of the mounting recesses ( 4 ) by the screw element ( 9 ). 11. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that presentation platforms ( 11 ) are arranged on the upper side of the column-like support elements ( 5 ). 12. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the presentation platforms ( 11 ) are provided with engagement elements ( 12 ) which interact with counter-elements ( 13 ) on the upper edge of the column-like support elements ( 5 ). 13. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the side parts ( 14 ) of the lower part ( 2 ) are substantially triangular. 14. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that guide elements ( 16 ) are arranged between the inner side of the side parts ( 14 ) of the lower part ( 2 ) and outer sides of side parts ( 15 ) running at right angles to the desk-like surface of the upper part ( 3 ). 15. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the guide elements ( 16 ) are rail-like. 16. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the side parts ( 14 ) and/or the rear wall ( 18 ) of the lower part ( 2 ) are provided with passage recesses ( 17 ). 17. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a plurality of lower parts ( 2 ) with upper parts ( 3 ) slidably arranged therein can be mounted next to one another to form an extended presentation unit ( 19 ). 18. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the passage recesses ( 17 ) in the side parts ( 14 ) of mutually mounted lower parts ( 2 ) are aligned with one another. 19. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the rear edges ( 20 ) of the side parts ( 14 ) are provided with hook elements ( 21 ) for hanging the lower parts ( 2 ) in a presentation holder. 20. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the upper ( 27 ) and/or the lower edge ( 28 ) of the surface ( 7 ) of the upper part ( 3 ) is provided with angular bends ( 22 ). 21. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the upper side of the upper part ( 3 ) is formed by a plurality of rail-like profile elements ( 23 ) arranged on the same level and spaced parallel to one another, the spacing between the profile elements ( 23 ) forming the mounting recess ( 4 ). 22. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the upper part ( 3 ) can be locked in the lower part ( 2 ) in the inserted position. 23. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the upper part ( 3 ) can be locked in the lower part ( 2 ) when inserted. 24. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the column-like support elements ( 5 ) are provided with switching elements ( 24 ) in order to switch on electronic devices presented on the support elements ( 5 ) or presentation platforms ( 11 ). 25. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by lighting elements ( 25 ) on the switching elements ( 24 ) for displaying the operating state. 26. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a screen unit ( 26 ) for presenting video images or descriptions of activated devices is provided in the region of the upper edge ( 27 ) of the upper part ( 3 ).
