Abstract

The guide rail system (1) can be assembled of two or three elements, one of them fixed to the inner surface of the cabinet (2), one fixed to the outer surface of the drawer (4). The locking device (5) is triangular shaped and fitted with an extension along one side in the shape of a half pipe with a cross shaped inner profile which is attached to a matching area (8) at the rail fixed to the inner surface of the cabinet (2). Several projections located at the outer surface of the locking device (5) engage with matching openings provided at the rail system. When the device (5) is swiveled around the axle (8) located at the rail (2) the connection is released and the drawer can be moved.

Two- or multi-part rail guide for drawers, pull-outs or the like

The present invention relates to a two-part or multi-part rail guide for drawers, pull-outs or the like with an actuating member for a closing and locking device, wherein the actuating member is detachably attached to a rail guide part.

In the case of drawers, pull-outs or the like which are provided with a locking and locking device, an actuating element is required in the area of the rail guide which activates the self-closing mechanism shortly before the drawer, pull-out or the like is in the closed position.

Regarding the state of the art, reference is made to DE-GM 91 11 951, in which a corresponding actuating element is detachably attached to a movable guide rail part of a two-part rail guide.

Raised noses are provided which form a dovetail-like receptacle into which a correspondingly designed plug-in part of the actuating element can be inserted.

The production of these noses in guide rail parts prefabricated as rolled or extruded profiles is comparatively complex and also leads to a certain weakening of the corresponding profiles.

These disadvantages are amplified if several such lugs are attached to a guide rail part at a distance from one another in order to ensure that the actuating part can be attached to the guide rail part in different positions, which may be necessary for adaptation to differently designed locking and locking devices.

The present invention is based on the object of creating a rail guide of the generic type in which the attachment of the actuating part to a guide rail part is considerably simplified.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the actuating member is equipped with a bearing part which partially surrounds the guide rail part and has a clamp-like cross-section and is provided with locking cams which engage in recesses provided on the guide rail part in order to fix it against displacement relative to the latter.

By partially enclosing the guide rail part with a clamp-like bearing part of the actuating element on the one hand and by securing the actuating element in a way that prevents it from shifting using locking cams on the actuating element and corresponding recesses on the guide rail part, a practical and inexpensive way of securely fixing an actuating element to a guide rail part of a rail guide for drawers, pull-outs or the like is created. The guide rail part itself can be provided with corresponding recesses in a simple manufacturing process, which only cause extremely slight weakening of the corresponding rail profile.

In this respect, it is also possible, without any disadvantages, to equip a guide rail part with several recesses offset from one another in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail part, thus opening up the possibility of attaching an actuating element to the guide rail part in different positions - in relation to the longitudinal extension of the guide rail part - and thus ensuring adaptation to differently designed locking and locking devices.

The guide rail part carrying the actuating element has no disturbing retaining parts that protrude outwards.

In order to reduce the space required by the rail guide during transport, an advantageous development of the invention provides that the actuating member can be pivoted from a use position extending laterally at approximately a right angle to the guide rail part into a non-use position in the direction of the guide rail part.

The actuating element can thus be folded towards the guide rail part, which reduces the space required, especially during transport.

In order to be able to block the rail parts that are movable relative to one another when the actuating part is not in use, a further development of the invention provides that at least one blocking lug is formed on the actuating member, which, when the actuating member is pivoted in the non-use position, engages in a blocking recess of another guide rail part and blocks this in the longitudinal direction.

In Figure 1, the reference number 1 designates a rail guide for drawers, pull-outs or the like, which comprises a rail part 2 that can be fixed to the furniture body, a middle rail 3 and a guide rail 4 that can be fixed to the drawer side, and is therefore designed in three parts. The rail guide 1 also comprises an actuating element 5, which is intended for actuating a locking and locking device that is known per se and therefore not shown.

In the embodiment shown, the actuating member 5 is fastened to the guide rail part 2 which can be fixed on the furniture body side and has an actuating pin 6 which, in a specific sliding position of a drawer or pull-out, interacts with a locking and locking device known per se and actuates it.

On its side facing away from the actuating pin 6 mentioned, the actuating member 5 is provided with a bracket-like bearing part 7. This bracket-like bearing part 7 is adapted in its cross section to the cross section of an approximately cross-shaped web 8 of the guide rail part 2.

The actuating member 5 is made entirely of plastic and, due to its clip-like design, can either be clipped onto the cross-shaped web 8 of the guide rail part 2 or pushed onto this web 8 in its longitudinal direction.

In order to prevent a longitudinal displacement of the actuating element 5 relative to the guide rail part 2, several locking cams 9 are formed on the actuating element 5, which engage in correspondingly dimensioned recesses 10 of the guide rail part 2. A locking cam 11 is also formed within the clamp-like bearing part 7 of the actuating element 5, which engages in a corresponding recess 12 within the cross-shaped web 8 of the guide rail part 2 when the actuating element 5 is in the position of use (see in particular Figures 2 and 7).

After the actuating element 5 with its clamp-like bearing part 7 has been placed on the cross-shaped web 8 and after all locking cams 9 and 11 have snapped into their corresponding recesses 10 and 12 on the guide rail part 2, a secure fixation of the actuating part 5 relative to the guide rail part 1 is ensured.

For transport purposes, the actuating member 5 can be pivoted relative to the longitudinal axis of the web 8 into a non-use position according to Figure 9 due to its elasticity.

On its upper side, the actuating member 5 is provided with a blocking lug 13, which is assigned a blocking recess 14 in the guide rail 4 that can be fixed on the drawer side. In the folded-up state according to Figure 9, the blocking lug 13 engages in the said blocking recess 14, so that a longitudinal displacement of the components of the complete rail guide 1 relative to one another is now possible.

which is no longer possible. This is particularly desirable for both transport and assembly purposes.

In this raised position, the locking cams designated with the reference number 9 are no longer in engagement with the locking recesses 10 of the guide rail part 2, only the further locking cam 11 provided inside the bearing part 7 still ensures axial fixation between the guide rail part 2 and the actuating element 5 by a corresponding design of the locking recess 12 interacting with the locking cam 11 in the area of the web 8.

Going beyond the embodiment shown in the drawings, it is of course also conceivable to connect the actuating element 5, for example, to the guide rail part 4 that can be fixed on the drawer side, in which case only a corresponding adjustment of the bearing part 7 of the actuating element 5 would be necessary. Here too, the non-circular cross-sectional shape of the guide rail part 4 could then be used to securely fix the actuating element.

It is also possible to attach additional blocking lugs to the actuating element 5 in order to be able to block four- or five-link rail guides against each other.

Both when attaching the actuating member 5 to the guide rail part 2 that can be fixed on the body side and when attaching the actuating member 5 to a guide rail 4 that can be fixed on the drawer side, a hinge axis could be provided between the clamp-like bearing part 7 and the remaining area of the actuating member 5, which would enable the remaining area of the actuating member 5, which is separated from the bearing part 7, to be pivoted up or folded down in a locking manner.

Figures 10 to 18 show a further embodiment of the invention, in which the actuating member 5 is again connected to the rail part 2 which can be fixed on the furniture body side.

In the embodiment according to Figures 10 to 18, in contrast to the embodiments described above, the rail part 2 on the furniture body side is provided with a guide section 2a which receives a central rail 15 and which is partially encompassed by the bearing part 7 of the actuating member 4, which in turn is designed like a clamp.

The middle rail 15 projects with its upper longitudinal side area facing away from the guide section 2a into a guide rail 4 that can be fixed on the drawer side.

The guide section 2a is, as Figure 13 shows particularly clearly, provided with a notch 2c in the region of a free longitudinal edge 2b, in which the actuating member 5 can be locked in a manner secured against longitudinal displacement.

In addition, a bore 2e is provided in the area of a base web 2d of the guide section 2a (see Figure 12), in which a resilient pin 16 of the actuating member 5 engages when the actuating member 5 is in its intended position relative to the guide section 2a of the rail part 2.

Also in the embodiment of the invention according to Figures 10 to 18, the actuating member 5 can be pivoted from its use position according to Figure 10 into a non-use position, as shown in Figure 11.

In this case, the clear cross section of the clamp-like bearing part 7 of the actuating member 5 is also designed in accordance with the special shape of the guide section 2a.

In the embodiment according to Figures 10 to 18, the operating element is also provided with a blocking lug 13 which, when the operating element 5 is pivoted upwards, engages in a blocking recess 14 of the guide rail 4 which can be fixed on the drawer side.

Claims (6)

1. Two-part or multi-part rail guide ( 1 ) for drawers, pull-outs or the like with an actuating member ( 5 ) for a locking and locking device, the actuating member ( 5 ) being detachably attached to a guide rail part, characterized in that the actuating member ( 5 ) is equipped with a bearing part ( 7 ) which partially surrounds the guide rail part ( 2 , 4 ) and has a clamp-like cross-section, and is provided with locking cams ( 9 ) which engage in recesses ( 10 ) provided on the guide rail part ( 2 , 4 ) in order to fix it against displacement relative to the latter. 2. Rail guide according to claim 1, characterized in that the actuating member ( 5 ) can be pivoted from a use position projecting laterally approximately at right angles to the guide rail part ( 2 , 4 ) into a non-use position in the direction of the guide rail part ( 2 , 4 ). 3. Rail guide according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that at least one further locking cam ( 11 ) is provided within the clamp-like bearing part ( 7 ), which cooperates with a further recess ( 10 ) provided in the region of the guide rail part ( 2 , 4 ) encompassed by the clamp-like bearing part ( 7 ). 4. Rail guide according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least one blocking lug ( 13 ) is formed on the actuating member ( 5 ), which, when the actuating member ( 5 ) is pivoted into the non-use position, engages in a blocking recess ( 14 ) of a further guide rail part ( 4 ) and thereby blocks this in the longitudinal direction. 5. Rail guide according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the bearing part ( 7 ) is connected to the remaining area of the actuating member ( 5 ) by an axis, wherein the remaining area of the actuating member ( 5 ) can be pivoted about this said axis relative to the bearing part ( 7 ) and can be locked in a non-use position. 6. Rail guide according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the actuating member ( 5 ) is made entirely of plastic.
