Abstract

A bathroom water supply has a cold water and hot water feed joined at a mixer unit which is esp. installed in a recess behind the wall plaster under a cover plate. The unit has an adapter which facilitates the dual-type use. The supply is regulated by a lever located on the cover plate and fitted on the wall plaster outer surface. The mixture of hot and water is discharged through a common pipe.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Sanitärarmatur für Wannen- und/oder Duschbäder, d. h. zur Speisung von Badewannen und/oder Brausen mit Wasser, vorzugsweise in Form einer Mischbatterie mit Kalt- und Warmwasseranschluß. Die erfindungsgemäße Sanitärarmatur besteht aus dem in der Wand eingesetzten Misch- und Regelkörper (1) mit Kalt- und Warmwasserzulauf sowie vorzugsweise einer Einhebelsteuerung (2, 3) für die Durchflußmenge und Regelung der Temperatur des Speisewassers. Ferner hat der Misch- und Regelkörper (1) zwei Wasserabgänge (4) und (5), die im Ausführungsbeispiel gemäß Fig. 1 mit Blindflanschen oder in sonstiger bekannter Weise verschlossen sind. Darüber hinaus hat der Misch- und Regelkörper (1) in gleicher Ebene mit der Durchflußmengen- und Temperaturregelung (2, 3) die Öffnung/Bohrung (6). In diese ist anstelle des bei Benutzung der Sanitärarmatur als Badewannenarmatur mit gleichzeitigem Duschbrausenanschluß vorhandenen Umstellventils mit Zug- und Druckstab der Adapter (7) mittels eines Schraubgewindes oder in anderer Weise eingesetzt, der röhrenförmig sowie zum Misch- und Regelkörper offen ist und als Wasserabgang und Wasseranbindung für die Duschbrause dient. Dazu wird der Anschluß der Zuleitung für die Duschbrause in Form eines streifen Zuleitungsrohrs (9) oder auch in Form eines flexiblen Zuleitungsschlauchs in den Adapter eingesetzt, wobei die Verbindung und Abdichtung vorzugsweise durch O-Ringe erfolgt, aber auch durch einen Schraubverbindung erfolgen kann, und vorteilhafterweise jeweils zusätzlich eine Klemm- bzw. Spannschraube vorgesehen ist. Zugleich kann dieselbe Abdeckrosette sowohl bei Einsatz der Sanitärarmatur für Wannenbäder als auch für Duschbäder verwandt werden. Neben diese technischen Vorteile tritt die verbesserte ästhetische Gesamtwirkung bei Duschbädern. Auch wenn man auf die Benutzung der Öffnung (6) des Misch- und Regelkörpers (1) zur Wasseranbindung mittels des Adapters (7) verzichtet und an dessen Stelle den Adapter (7') bzw. (13) zur unmittelbaren Anbindung von Accessoires an der Sanitärarmatur benutzt, ergibt sich der erhebliche technische Vorteil, daß eine gesonderte Anbringung solcher Accessoires wie Duschstangen, Seifenschalen usw. unter entsprechender Beschädigung der Wandoberfläche und insbesondere Fliesen vermieden wird. Sanitary fitting for baths and/or showers, preferably in the form of a mixer tap with cold and hot water inlets and with single-lever control of the temperature and flow rate of the water and with water outlets to the bath inlet on the one hand ( 5 ) and to the shower head on the other hand ( 4 ), in which, when used for combined baths and showers, a changeover valve with a pull and push rod is inserted into the mixing and regulating body for supplying the water to the bath or shower head inlet, characterized in that , when the sanitary fitting is used solely for showers, instead of the changeover valve with a pull and push rod, an adapter ( 7 , 7 ') is inserted into the opening provided for this purpose ( 6 ) of the mixing and regulating body ( 1 ) by means of a screw thread or in another way, the adapter ( 7 ) being tubular and open to the mixing and regulating body ( 1 ) and the supply pipe ( 9 ) being inserted into the Adapter ( 7 ) is inserted and the water outlets ( 4 , 5 ) are closed, or wherein the adapter ( 7 ') closes the opening ( 6 ) of the mixing and regulating body ( 1 ) and serves to connect accessories such as a shower rail ( 12 ) or a soap dish ( 17 , 18 ) and the water outlet ( 4 ) to the bathtub is closed.

2. Sanitary fitting according to claim 1, characterized in that the adapter ( 7 , 7 ') is passed through the hole in the mounting plate ( 10 ) on the surface of the wall of the shower room, said hole being provided for the tension and compression rod of the replaced changeover valve.

Sanitary fitting according to claim 1, characterized in that a blind flange or other known closure is inserted into the opening ( 6 ) of the mixing and regulating body ( 1 ) and a separate adapter ( 13 ) with a nose-shaped projection ( 14 ) is inserted into the existing bore of the mounting plate ( 10 ) and mounted thereon and that accessories such as the shower rail ( 12 ) or soap dishes ( 17 , 18 ) are attached to the adapter ( 13 ).

4. Sanitary fitting according to claim 1 or 3, characterized in that the adapter ( 7 , 7 ', 13 ) is arranged above, below or to the side of the operating lever ( 2 ) by appropriate installation of the sanitary fitting.

5. Sanitary fitting according to claim 4, characterized in that the water supply ( 9 ) of the shower head ( 16 ) is connected to the adapter ( 7 ) by means of the connecting pipe ( 15 ').

6. Sanitary fitting according to claim 4, characterized in that the accessory such as the shower rail ( 12 ) is attached to the adapter ( 7 ', 13 ) by means of a cross member ( 15 ).

7. Sanitary fitting according to claim 1 or one or more of claims 2 to 6, characterized in that the sanitary fitting is not installed in the wall (under plaster), but is arranged on the wall (on plaster).
