Claims

1. Storage and transport container or box, in particular a folding box, with front and side walls which are pivotably arranged on hinges on the base frame and can be locked in the upright position, characterized in that at least the front walls ( 3 ) are provided with a rotary lock ( 9 ) which can be snapped into the base frame ( 5 ).

2. Box according to claim 1, characterized in that the rotary lock ( 9 ) comprises a compact rotary latch ( 10 ) which is provided in a pocket ( 12 ) extending from the bottom end face ( 11 ) of the end walls ( 3 ) and which is formed with a surface recess ( 15 ) on the handle side of the rotary latch ( 10 ).

3. Box according to claim 2, characterized in that the inner wall side is provided with the surface recess ( 15 ).

4. Box according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the rotary latch ( 10 ) is mounted with an annular collar ( 20 ) on a rotary axis ( 19 ) of the pocket ( 12 ).

5. Box according to claim 4, characterized in that the annular collar ( 20 ) is designed as a partial circle segment ( 21 ) and merges into an outwardly conically widening mounting groove ( 22 ).

Box according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the rotary latch ( 10 ) has a latch projection ( 24 ) which, in the locking position, protrudes from the pocket ( 12 ), then extends substantially parallel to the bottom end face ( 11 ), and engages over and behind a locking means ( 30 ) arranged in the bottom frame ( 5 ).

7. Box according to claim 6, characterized in that the locking projection ( 24 ) is designed with a truncated pyramid-like locking head ( 28 ) and the locking means ( 30 ) of the base frame ( 5 ) is designed with an inclined surface ( 29 ) facing the latter.

8. Box according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that an end stop ( 25 ) is provided in the pocket ( 12 ) which limits the pivoting path of the rotary latch ( 10 ) both during unlocking and during locking.

9. Box according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that a locking viewing window ( 13 ) is provided in the pocket wall ( 14a ) having the rotation axis ( 19 ) of the rotary latch ( 10 ).

10. Box according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the rotary latch ( 10 ) has on its handle side a handle web ( 18 ) running flush with the wall ( 3 ).
