Abstract

The item of jewellery comprises a decorative holder (2) to which a programable data carrier (3) such as a memory chip with integrated circuit or a discrete electronic component functioning as a microprocessor, is fastened. Alternately, the data carrier may be a magnetic data carrier or a bar code or a metal or glass plate into which the data is etched by laser. The data are associated with the person wearing the item. A reader device is provided for reading out the data for analysis.

Claims

1.
