The present invention relates to a holding device according to the preamble of claim 1.

The present invention relates to a very practical problem from everyday life. During meals, for example, food must be taken out of jars using suitable cutlery. Examples of this are liquid spreads such as jam, honey, other side dishes such as mustard, mayonnaise or solid objects such as pickled vegetables, for example cucumbers, peppers, etc. The food should not be contaminated as much as possible in order not to affect its shelf life. The cutlery should also not be contaminated as much as possible and should not soil the table or tablecloths. To this end, it should be able to drip off in a defined manner.

The same applies to other activities where, for example, liquid material has to be taken out of small containers. For example, when taking paint when painting with a brush. Here, too, the problem is that when the brush is put down, the brush can become contaminated and thus the paint in the container could also become contaminated.

A very practical example is the use of almost liquid honey as a spread.

The honey is usually taken out of a jar with a knife or a spoon and spread on the bread. The spoon, smeared with honey, is then put somewhere until the next use. The surface on which it is placed gets smeared, as does the handle of the cutlery after prolonged use, or the cutlery is placed on top of the honey jar. If you place it too far out, the honey runs down the outside of the jar. If you place it too far in, the cutlery falls into the jar.

It is therefore the object of the present invention to counteract these practical problems and to offer a solution for them which is simple, practical and easy to implement. It is therefore the object of the present invention to create a simple and hygienic intermediate shelf for cutlery or other tool-like objects, in particular for emptying containers, where residues can drip off without loss, without the need for additional dishes and without the handles of the cutlery becoming smeared.

This object is achieved by a device having the features of claim 1 or 10. Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims.

According to the invention, a holding device is created which can be arranged on the inner neck of a removal opening of a container and provides at least one support surface there. In this way, it is possible to arrange the objects to be held in a simple manner above the container opening.

It is important to note that the term container opening refers to any type of opening through which objects that can be stored or arranged in the container can be removed again. The neck of the container removal opening is considered to be the area that delimits the container removal opening, i.e. in the limiting case the thickness of the adjacent container wall.

Preferably, the holding device is arranged at a distance from the upper edge of the container removal opening and/or at a distance from the filling height of the container in order to also allow a certain possibility of the object to be held resting on the neck of the container opening. This increases the stability of the holding. In addition, such a spacing also prevents the object to be held from dipping into the material contained in the container while being held.

The support surface preferably cooperates with the opposite edge of the container opening in order to support the object to be held, for example cutlery. This is done on the one hand in such a way that the opposite edge of the container removal opening offers a further support point in addition to the support point on the support surface in order to support the object at two points. This type of holder is chosen when the center of gravity of the object to be held is inside the container removal opening. The other type of holder is done in such a way that the opposite edge of the container removal opening also serves as a support point, but as the only support point. The support surface is not used as a support point, but as a counter-bearing in order to prevent the object to be held from rotating around the support point on the opposite edge of the container removal opening. This type of bearing is chosen when the center of gravity of the object to be held is outside the container removal opening.

The holding device with the support surface can either be designed as one piece with the container, which also represents a claim category of the present invention, or be part of a separate insert part that can be inserted, pushed or similarly arranged in a fixed or detachable manner into the container opening. The last embodiment has the advantage that the holding device can be reused for disposable containers, while the one-piece design with the container eliminates the effort of subsequent attachment.

Preferably, the holding device and in particular the at least one support surface is provided on the entire circumference of the container opening in order to avoid any restrictions in the

Arrangement of the objects to be held. However, it is also conceivable to provide the holding device only on part of the circumference of the container opening.

Since in many embodiments the container openings are round, it is preferred to provide a holding device with an annular support surface.

The support surface on the holding device can be designed in any suitable way, in particular in the form of a groove or a protruding web. However, other shapes are also conceivable, such as inclined surfaces with a triangular cross-sectional shape of the holding device and the like.

Fig.l shows a cross-sectional view of a jam jar 3 which is filled with jam 2 up to the usual filling level at the beginning of the neck 5 of the jar 3. On the neck 5 of the jar 3, on which a thread 8 is provided on the outside for screwing on a closure lid (not shown), a holding device 4 is provided on the inner surface.

in the form of a ring protruding vertically from the neck 5 and extending horizontally.

As can be seen better in the detailed view of Figure 1, the holding device 4 with the upper support surface 7 serves to provide a support point for a spoon 1. Since the center of gravity of the spoon 1, as can be seen in Figure 1, is located within the container opening 9, this prevents the spoon from slipping into the glass 3. At the same time, however, the scooping area of the spoon 1 is located in the area of the container opening 9, so that excess jam can drip from the spoon 1 into the glass container 3.

Due to the ring protruding from the neck 5 of the container 3, which forms the holding device 4, this holding device has not only an upper support surface 7, but also a lower support surface 6. As Figure 2 shows, this serves to hold objects such as a knife 10, which has a center of gravity that lies outside the container opening 9, in such a way that the knife does not tip out and thus fall down. For this purpose, the tip of the knife 10 is clamped onto the lower support surface 6, with the support of the knife sheath on the opposite edge of the container 3 serving as a counter bearing. Figures 1 and 2 thus show two different holding principles that can be implemented with one and the same holding device 4.

Fig.3 shows the same embodiment of the holding device 4 for a paint can with an inwardly projecting edge 11. Here too, both holding principles can be implemented, depending on where the center of gravity of the object to be held, in this case a brush 100, is located. However, the embodiment in Fig.3 makes it clear that the inwardly projecting edge 11 on the underside also naturally provides a support surface for objects with a center of gravity located outside the container opening.

The embodiment of Fig.4 makes it clear that the holding device 4 can be designed as one piece with the container 3, for example a jam jar. In contrast, Fig. 6 describes an embodiment in which the holding device is part of a separate

insert piece 12 which can be detachably inserted, for example, into the container opening 9 only when required.

The same applies to the embodiment of Fig. 7, in which the holding device has only been inserted as a ring in a groove 13 on the neck of the glass 3.

Fig. 5 in turn shows a further embodiment of a holding device 4', which is designed exactly the opposite of the holding device 4. In the holding device 4', instead of a web or ring protruding outwards in the direction of the container opening, a recess in the form of a groove is provided, which, however, also provides two support surfaces 6 and 7 on the boundary surfaces.

Claims (10)

1. Holding device for supporting and storing tool-like objects on containers ( 3 ), in particular objects for emptying containers, characterized in that the holding device is designed such that it can be arranged on the inner neck ( 5 ) of a removal opening ( 9 ) of the container ( 3 ) and provides at least one support surface ( 6 , 7 ). 2. Holding device according to claim 1, characterized in that the support surface ( 6 , 7 ) extends in such a way that it can counteract the weight force and/or a torque, in particular is at least partially designed substantially horizontally. 3. Holding device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the support surface ( 6 , 7 ) is arranged at a distance from the upper edge of the container removal opening ( 9 ) and/or at a distance from the filling height of the container ( 3 ). 4. Holding device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support surface interacts with the opposite edge of the container removal opening ( 9 ) and/or a further support surface in such a way that this or these serves as a further or only support point for the object to be held. 5. Holding device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support surface ( 6 , 7 ) is designed in one piece with the container ( 3 ). 6. Holding device according to one of the preceding claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the support surface ( 6 , 7 ) is formed in a separate part ( 12 ) which can in particular be pushed or inserted into the container ( 3 ). 7. Holding device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support surface ( 6 , 7 ) is present on the entire circumference or only partially on the circumference of the container removal opening ( 9 ). 8. Holding device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support surface ( 6 , 7 ) is annular. 9. Holding device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support surface ( 6 , 7 ) is formed on a protruding component or in a recess. 10. Container, in particular glass container, plastic container, tin can and the like with a holding device according to one of the preceding claims.
