Training device to support gymnastic exercises

Description

The invention relates to a rod-shaped, variable-length, detachable training device for physical training for untrained people. It is detachably assembled from several hollow, color-coded rod elements. A finger loop is rotatably attached to each of the two end elements.

There are numerous training devices that are designed to build muscle and generally improve physical fitness. The aim is to use the body's own strength in accordance with the elasticity characteristics of the training device.

From the German patent specification P 31 31 585.2, a rod-shaped sports device is known which forms a structural unit with complex electronics, among other things, for determining the exercise frequency - depending on variable weights.

Furthermore, a gymnastic device with a flexible, tensile and torsionally elastic element for strengthening the muscles is known from the German publication 15 78 533.

Furthermore, a muscle warm-up and training bar with adjustable force application is known from the German patent specification P 3310244.9-15.

The devices in the patents listed have the disadvantage that, due to the amount of force required - depending on the spring travel characteristics of the spring elements used or the weights used - they place considerable strain on the muscles right from the start of training, which can increase the risk of muscle injury, particularly for those who are less trained and only want to do light muscle relaxation exercises. On the other hand, such devices are a) not so easy to stow away during transport, b) sometimes have a complex construction and c) are relatively expensive due to their construction.

The invention presented here is based on the task of avoiding the disadvantages shown in the current state of the art and of creating an inexpensive training device that can certainly meet the need for muscle work in employees with predominantly sedentary work - e.g. office Z computer workstation.
Employees in this profession often suffer from symptoms that are caused by a lack of exercise. This lack of exercise should be counteracted by

regular exercise - especially at work. The training device on which the invention is based is designed in such a way that it can be used to dynamically train the muscle/connective tissue groups with minimal space requirements.
activated so that the circulation is stimulated and the oxygen supply in the body is improved. Since the training device presented here does not require any additional effort during the exercises, there is basically no muscular overload.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the combination of features specified in the characterizing part of the patent claim.

So that the training device can be individually adapted to the body measurements (e.g. grip width) of the trainee, it is made up of individual, hollow, color-coded rod elements that can be detachably put together.

A rotating finger loop is attached to each of the two end points of the training device. Inserting the index or middle finger into the finger loops creates a "forced guide" between the arms for the movement of both arms and also enables the user to perform rotating movements around the longitudinal axis of the training device without the need for complicated gripping techniques.

Since untrained people often have limited mobility, this intentional forced guidance helps to find the limit points that restrict movement - as I have called them. These limit points should not be touched at the beginning of the dynamic exercises, as the risk of injury (e.g. torn muscle fibers) is particularly high in this limit area. One of the advantages to be achieved with the invention is that once the limit points have been found, the training device can be shortened to such an extent that these limit points are not reached during the dynamic exercises. Conversely, after a warm-up phase, the limit point can be felt using the extended training device and incorporated into suitable exercises, while being careful.

Another advantage of the training device presented here compared to known training devices is that at least one rod element on a plug connection automatically releases when a slight tensile or bending stress occurs. This "predetermined breaking property" helps untrained people to avoid the risk of injury, e.g. during exercises with forced guidance or during certain climbing exercises.

Claims (5)

1. Training device according to Fig. 1 for supporting gymnastic exercises, characterized in that it is made of plastic tube and is composed of exchangeable color-coded rod elements ( 2 , 4 ) and rod elements ( 3 , 5 ), at the ends of which a finger loop ( 6 ) is rotatably attached by means of a plug ( 1 ). 2. Training device according to claim 1, characterized in that it can be variably assembled/disassembled in its length dimension by means of a detachable, positive plug connection on the rod elements ( 2 ; 3 ; 4 ; 5 ). 3. Training device according to claim 2, characterized in that the rod elements ( 2 ; 3 ) of the same color differ in their color design from the rod elements ( 4 ; 5 ) of the same color. 4. Training device according to claim 3, characterized in that a finger loop ( 6 ) is attached to each of the rod elements ( 3 ; 5 ) in such a way that it does not tighten when the finger is inserted and rotates around the longitudinal axis of the training device. 5. Training device according to claim 4, characterized in that when the training device is subjected to moderate tensile or bending stress, at least one of the positive plug connections of the rod elements ( 2-5 ) is released, thereby canceling any forced guidance that may have occurred.
