The invention relates to a cigarette dispenser (1) for self-service shops, comprising a device (7) for holding and propelling cigarette packets (10), in addition to a device (3) for holding and propelling cigarette cartons (5), said cigarette dispenser (1) being closed by at least one locking grille (14) that can be optionally driven by an electric motor. The invention is characterised in that the device (3) for holding the cigarette cartons (5) is located in a lower position than the device (7) for holding the cigarette packets (10) and that both devices (3, 7) are configured and arranged in such a way that in order to remove the cigarette packets (10) and the cigarette cartons (5), the former (10) are propelled in a horizontal or oblique direction and the latter (5) are propelled in a vertical direction.

Der gehäuseartige Zigarettenträger 1 weist in seinem oberen Bereich wenigstens eine Öffnung 13 auf, die sich durch wenigstens ein Verschlussgitter 14 verschließen lässt. Im Beispiel sind zwei Öffnungen 13 vorgesehen. Die Öffnungen 13 gewähren einen Zugriff zu den Zigarettenschachteln 10 und zu den Zigarettenpackungen 5. Bei einer einfachen Ausführung lässt sich das wenigstens eine Verschlussgitter 14 von Hand bewegen.
