Adjustable chairs of the usual design can be adjusted in height using a gas pressure spring. To change the sitting position, the backrest can usually be tilted by a certain angle using a swivel joint. If you want something to sit and lie down on, you have to buy the right chair for every occasion. Many lounge chairs cannot be used for working at a desk. The same applies to office chairs, which can rarely be used as a lounger. A negative aspect here is the double financial outlay for purchasing them and the resulting space requirement.

The invention specified in claims 1 to 4 is based on the problem of creating an adjustable chair that can be locked in different positions and thus enables sitting and lying in two opposite directions.

This problem is solved with the features listed in claims 1 to 4.

The invention makes it possible to have a sitting and lying position in two opposite directions with a single device. An almost unlimited number of sitting and lying settings are possible between the two main positions.

The armrests (9) are adjusted to the selected sitting and lying position as required by inserting them into the sockets (9.1) of the main elements.
