Tiebacks for curtains

The invention relates to a tieback for curtains with a holder element that can be mounted on the wall and an associated wrapping area for the gathered curtain.

A known tieback of this type is designed as a rigid part in itself, with an arched, rigid wraparound area attached to the wall-mounted holder element. Such a rigid tieback is very bulky and in many cases protrudes in a disturbing way. In addition, you can bump into the protruding wraparound area.

Tiebacks, especially those with elastic loops, are therefore very common. These usually consist of a strip of fabric with rings sewn onto the ends, which are both hung on a common hook fixed to the wall.

Starting from the tieback of the type assumed to be known, the object of the invention is to design such a tieback in such a way that it has a flexible wrapping area which is designed to form a closed loop.

This problem is solved with the features of the characterising part of claim 1.

Preferred embodiments of the invention emerge from the subclaims.

The tieback according to the invention has a rigid holder area that can be mounted firmly on the wall and a flexible holder area. Opening and closing the loop is particularly easy and quick. To do this, it is sufficient to remove the thickening from the complementary recess to open it or to insert it into this recess to close it.

The device according to the invention can be used universally on both sides of a curtain.

The tieback essentially consists of the holder element 1 which can be mounted on the wall and the rope 2 with a ball 2a mounted on one end of the rope. The holder element 1 consists of a flange 1a designed for fastening to the wall and a rod area 1b extending centrally from it. The flange can have a thread running around its inner edge in the usual way, which is not shown and is screwed onto a threaded ring doweled to a wall.

The rod area Ib is designed as a round rod, which in the embodiment shown is conical. At the end of the rod remote from the wall there is a central longitudinal bore If into which one end of the cable 2 is inserted. This end is fixed in the inserted position by means of a fastening screw 3, which sits in a threaded bore Ig running transversely to the longitudinal bore If.

The rib Ic allows the ball 2a to be placed on different sides of the rib, thus with different orientations of the rope 2. This makes it easier to use the tieback on different sides of the window or door.

Claims (8)

1. Tieback for curtains with a holder element ( 1 ) that can be mounted on the wall and a looping area for the gathered curtain connected thereto, characterized in that the looping area is a rope ( 2 ) or the like, which is fixed firmly at one end and detachably fixed at the other end to the holder element ( 1 ), the detachable end having a thickening that can be inserted into a complementary recess in the holder element ( 1 ) and secures the rope ( 2 ) or the like in the extension direction. 2. Tieback according to claim 1, characterized in that the rope ( 2 ) is a metal rope. 3. Tieback according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the thickening is a ball ( 2a ) mounted at the end of the rope ( 2 ) or the like. 4. Tieback according to at least one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the recess is a through hole ( 1 c) which has an inward-facing rib ( 1 d) halfway along its length, on which the ball ( 2 a) is retained and which allows the passage of the rope ( 2 ) or the like. 5. Tieback according to claim 4, characterized in that a slot ( 1e ) extends from the circumference of the through hole ( 1c ), which extends to the outer surface of the holder element ( 1 ) and has a width which is smaller than the diameter of the ball ( 2a ), but at least corresponds to the diameter of the rope ( 2 ) or the like. 6. Tieback according to at least one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the holder element ( 1 ) has a flange ( 1a ) which can be mounted fixedly to the wall and a rod region ( 1b ) extending perpendicularly therefrom. 7. Tieback according to claim 6, characterized in that the flange ( 1 a) is a round disc and the rod region ( 1 b) is a round rod centrally connected thereto. 8. Tieback according to at least one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the fixed end of the rope ( 2 ) or the like is inserted into a bore ( 1f ) and is fixed in the inserted position by means of a clamping screw ( 3 ) running transversely to the bore.
