Only children's beds and changing tables are available in stores as individual items. These are in some cases very versatile, but you still have to buy several stationary pieces of furniture.

Continuing increases in housing prices and falling real incomes are forcing more and more families to move to apartments with smaller living space. For this reason, a space-saving, multifunctional piece of furniture is the ideal alternative.

It is not always possible to combine ideas with technology and attractive design. This children's bed with integrated changing table and changing mat combines technology, attractive design and versatile and long-lasting usability. (From baby bed to junior bed - chest of drawers - changing mat, storage space for mat - sideboard).

The original idea was to combine the bed, changing table and changing mat into a single unit with smooth and user-friendly operation. This was achieved by the invention described in claim 1.

In this invention, the roller blind plays a crucial role as it can be easily moved back and forth. The toddler can remain in bed while the roller blind is pulled over the bed, as the roller blind only covers 2/3 of the length of the bed.

If the child is lying on the changing mat (roller blind), it cannot roll off to the side, as the changing mat forms a central depression due to the curved sides of the bed. The changing area is very ergonomic for the user, as it is 85 cm high and the user can stand with his feet under the bed frame. This means that his body is standing close to the changing area and he does not have to bend forward.

A handle and safety bar (7) at the beginning of the blind, which extends over the sides of the bed, is fixed by a groove on the sides of the bed. This prevents the blind from slipping into the inside of the bed.

The attached changing table is coordinated with the bed in such a way that the blind slides seamlessly from the sides of the bed into the guide groove on the inside of the dresser. This means that the front of the dresser can be closed and the whole bed can be opened at the same time. There is a storage compartment in the changing table, created by a double back wall, for a padded changing mat that has to be removed when moving the blind.

An advantageous solution of the invention is specified in claim 2. By removing the chest of drawers from the bed, it can be placed separately and used as a sideboard or similar.
If the side parts of the bed are removed, the child's bed can be converted into a junior bed.

The drawing shows the roller blind as a changing mat lying in the guide grooves (2) of the bed sides. The bed side (8) is milled radially in the area of the changing mat so that the child cannot roll off the changing mat.

The handle and safety bar (7) is fixed to the sides of the bed by a groove. This groove is lined with felt. This ensures a secure grip on the sides of the bed.

The attached changing table can be seen open. It has a storage compartment (4) for a padded changing mat. This storage compartment is created by a double back wall (5).

The guide groove (3) in the inside of the chest of drawers is on the same level as the guide fold (2) on the bed sides. This means that the roller blind can run seamlessly along the transition point from the chest of drawers to the bed. (See also Figure 3, interior view, detail A, and Figure 5, top view, detail A). The roller blind is therefore used to close the changing table, like a roller door.

The drawing shows the closed changing table. The bed is therefore completely open. Here the guide fold (2) of the bed sides is clearly visible.

The changing table can be removed from the bed by lifting the table slightly and removing the screws on the bed legs from the lens head plates located on the sides of the table. (See Figure 4 side view and Figure 3 interior view X and Y).

By guiding the roller blind into the guide groove (6) that runs along the rear wall, the changing table can be converted into a sideboard, for example.

1. Children's bed with integrated changing table and changing mat, with a movable roller blind being the decisive combination.

The attached changing table has a guide groove ( 3 ) on the inside that exactly matches the guide groove ( 2 ) on the side of the bed. This allows the roller blind to be moved to the front of the changing table. The table is then closed.
The chest of drawers also has a storage compartment ( 4 ) for a padded changing mat. This storage compartment is formed by a double back wall ( 5 ). 2.
