Diese Ausführungsform ist insbesondere für die Anbringung von Ersatzzöpfen oder Ersatzpferdeschwänzen dienen, wobei die entsprechend lang bemessenen Zinken in das Haupthaar eingeschoben werden. Die Zinken können aber auch kürzer bemessen sein, wenn ein solcher Halter nur zum Abbinden bspw. eines Zopfendes dienen soll.
