Claims

Toilet, in particular for public purposes, with a bowl-like toilet bowl ( 11 ) which has a toilet seat ( 12 ) on the top, and a cleaning device ( 17 ) by means of which at least the toilet seat ( 12 ) can be cleaned, wherein the toilet seat ( 12 ) is adjustable between an operating position and a cleaning position, characterized in that the inner cleaning device ( 17 ) comprises a housing ( 15 ) forming an inner cleaning chamber with internal cleaning elements and that the toilet seat ( 12 ) in its cleaning position partially projects into the housing ( 15 ) and is rotatable about a vertical axis (V).

2. Toilet according to claim 1, characterized in that the housing ( 15 ) partially covers the upper side of the toilet seat ( 12 ) in the cleaning position.

3. Toilet according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the toilet seat ( 12 ) can be adjusted into the cleaning position together with the toilet bowl ( 11 ).

4. Toilet according to claim 3, characterized in that the toilet seat ( 12 ) can be lowered together with the toilet bowl from the operating position and can be retracted essentially horizontally into the housing ( 15 ) of the cleaning device ( 17 ).

5. Toilet according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the toilet bowl ( 11 ) comprises a lower part ( 11b ) and an upper part ( 11a ) carrying the toilet seat ( 12 ), wherein the upper part ( 11a ) is rotatably mounted on the lower part ( 11b ) together with the toilet seat ( 12 ).

6. Toilet according to claim 5, characterized in that the outer surface of the upper part ( 11a ) can be cleaned in the cleaning position by means of the cleaning device ( 17 ).

7. Toilet according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the toilet seat ( 12 ) is rotationally asymmetrical and can be rotated in its position of use and fixed in different rotational positions.
