The clamps 19, 20 each engage with a hook-shaped projection 24 on one of their two legs in undercut lateral grooves 22, 23 of the first roof rail 1 and rest in the area of the other legs on the second roof rail 21, to which they are fastened by means of another of the screws 5, which correspond in structure to the first screw 5, and possibly further lining pieces (not visible here) in the groove 12 of the second roof rail 21.
