Jewel with stone

The invention relates to a piece of jewelry which has a holder for at least one stone, in which the stone is at least partially inserted into a recess of a base body of the piece of jewelry and in which at least one securing element for the stone is arranged in the region of the base body.

Such pieces of jewelry are known in different designs and can be realized, for example, as a ring, bracelet, pendant, earring or part of a necklace. The pieces of jewelry are typically made from a precious metal or a precious metal alloy and hold precious stones in one or more settings. Other designs are made of steel, aluminum or other metals or alloys.

The object of the present invention is to construct a piece of jewellery of the type mentioned in the introduction in such a way that improved possibilities for presenting the stones are provided.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the stone is arranged movably in the area of the base body and that the securing element is at a distance from the stone,

Due to the movable arrangement of the stone in the area of the base body and the arrangement of the securing element at a distance from the stone, it is possible for the stone to experience a change in position relative to the base body even with the smallest "vibrations or other acting" forces and thus assume a different orientation to the incident light. In the case of diamonds in particular, this supports perfect radiance and brilliance in a variety of different nuances. , )

The arrangement of the safety element at a distance from the stone enables the position of the stone to be changed relative to the base body, but also ensures that the stone can be held securely without a conventional setting. The safety element also ensures that the stone slides back into its basic position after the force has been removed, thereby changing position again. Another important variant consists in the fact that two bracket-like sealing elements are arranged at a distance from each other and essentially parallel to each other.

The increased visibility of the stone is helped by the fact that the securing element is made up of at least two bracket segments, each of which projects over the edge of the stone. , '^; _f

A further increase in the variety of optical reflections produced is achieved by having at least two stones each movably supported by a recess. ~ , '

According to the embodiment in Fig. l, the piece of jewellery

(1) is realized in the form of a ring, which has a base body (-2) and holds a stone (3). The base body

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, the stone (3) has a body that essentially tapers in a conical shape and extends from an inner circular base surface (7). The base surface (7) is arranged facing the securing element (6). A facet curvature (9) ^of the stone (3) provided with a large number of grinding surfaces runs above the base surface (7) in the visible area. An end region of the taper of the stone (3) that is arranged facing away from the base surface (7) is mounted in a depression (8) in the recess (4). _The overlap area between the taper of the stone (3) and the depression (8) is selected to be large enough that lateral guidance of the stone (3) is ensured even when the base surface (7) is in contact with the securing element (6). This prevents the stone (3) from being lost.

From the illustration in Fig. 2> it can be seen that the tapered area of the stone (3) essentially tapers to a point. The securing element (6) can be designed as a semi-circular bracket which is soldered to the base body (2) after assembly. However, other fastening variants can also be implemented. In particular, laser welding, riveting, gluing or positive joints can be implemented as further connection methods.

From the top view in Fig. 3 it can be seen that the bracket-like securing element (6) extends in a substantially central region relative to a width of the base body (2). In the embodiment according to Fig. 4, two bracket-like securing elements (6) are provided which run along edges of the base body (2) and essentially parallel to one another.

In the embodiment according to Fig. 5, two securing elements (6) are used which are arranged similarly to the securing element (6) according to Fig. 3, but do not completely span the stone (3), but only overhang it in the edge area. This supports improved visibility of the stone (3). The securing elements (6) according to Fig. 5 can be realized as edge segments of the securing element (6) according to Fig. 3., &ggr;.

In the embodiment according to Fig. 6, three stones (3) are each held in associated recesses (4). As each stone (3) is usually positioned differently relative to the base body (2) when forces are applied, an arrangement of several movable stones (3) achieves an even better optical effect. According to Fig. 6, the stones (3) are arranged in rows one behind the other. However, other arrangements are also possible. , .

The construction shown in the examples of embodiment with a conically tapered stone (3) and the depression (8) also designed in the form of an inwardly drawn cone enables a number of different directions of movement of the stone (3). The stone (3) can be moved in the direction of the cone's longitudinal axis until it stops against the securing element (6). In addition _, the stone (3) can be tilted in any radial direction transverse to the cone's longitudinal axis, and rotation around the cone's longitudinal axis is also possible. There are therefore a number of free movement parameters that cause a number of different light reflections in a facet-like ground stone (3). : · " ■ . '■

Claims (15)

1. A piece of jewellery which has a holder for at least one stone, in which the stone is at least partially inserted into a recess of a base body of the piece of jewellery and in which at least one securing element for the stone is arranged in the region of the base body, characterized in that the stone ( 3 ) is movably arranged in the region of the base body ( 2 ) and that the securing element ( 6 ) is at a distance from the stone ( 3 ). 2. Piece of jewellery according to claim 1, characterized in that the recess ( 4 ) tapers. 3. Piece of jewellery according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the recess ( 4 ) tapers conically in the region of a depression ( 8 ). 4. Piece of jewellery according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the stone ( 3 ) tapers starting from a base surface ( 7 ). 5. Piece of jewellery according to claim 4, characterized in that the stone ( 3 ) tapers conically. 6. Piece of jewellery according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the depression ( 8 ) receives an end region of the taper of the stone ( 3 ). 7. Piece of jewellery according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the base body ( 2 ) is substantially ring-shaped. 8. Piece of jewellery according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the recess ( 4 ) is substantially rounded and merges into an outer contour ( 5 ) of the base body ( 2 ). 9. Piece of jewellery according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the recess ( 4 ) is open at least in parts at the sides. 10. Piece of jewellery according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the securing element ( 6 ) is designed like a bracket. 11. Piece of jewellery according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that two bracket-like securing elements ( 6 ) are arranged at a distance from and substantially parallel to one another. 12. Piece of jewellery according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the securing element ( 6 ) is formed from at least two bracket segments, which each project over the stone ( 3 ) in edge regions. 13. Piece of jewellery according to one of claims 1 to 12, characterized in that at least two stones ( 3 ) are each movably held by a recess ( 4 ). 14. Piece of jewellery according to one of claims 1 to 13, characterized in that the stone ( 3 ) is designed as a gemstone. 15. Piece of jewellery according to one of claims 1 to 14, characterized in that the stone ( 3 ) is designed as a cut diamond.
