Das erfindungsgemäße Caveçon ist ausgebildet zur Anordnung an einem Pferdekopf. Es weist nach einer ersten Ausführungsform wenigstens ein Nasenteil aus einer rundgenähten Lederummantelung mit einem innenliegenden Fahrradkettenstück auf, an dessen beiden Enden am jeweiligen letzten Kettenglied jeweils eine Halteöse befestigt ist. An dem Fahrradkettenstück sind zumindest drei Ankerösen angeordnet, die sich aus der Lederummantelung heraus erstrecken; die also bei Benutzung des Caveçons vom Pferdekopf weg nach oben schauen, so dass der Pferdeführer etwa eine Longe daran befestigen kann. Weiter hat das Caveçon ein anatomisch geformtes Genickstück, dessen beide Enden mit jeweils einem Backenstück verbunden sind, die wiederum an den beiden Seiten eines Nasenteils angreifen. Vorteilhaft ist das Fahrradkettenstück erfindungsgemäß mit zumindest einer Schicht eines Synthesekautschuks rundgenäht ummantelt, die Synthesekautschuk-Schicht ist wiederum von der Lederummantelung umhüllt. Die Synthesekautschuk-Schicht und die Lederummantelung sind so genäht, dass Durchtritte für die Ankerösen verbleiben.
