Medical device made of a polymer material, characterized in that medical honey is incorporated in the polymeric material.

A medical device according to claim 1, characterized in that it is an optionally integral with an ostomy pouch executed skin protection plate or a condom.

A medical device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that it additionally comprises on a surface in contact with the skin a layer of skin-friendly adhesive which also comprises medicinal honey.

Medical device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the medicinal honey is contained in a proportion of up to 10 wt .-% in the polymer material and optionally also in the optional adhesive layer.

Use of medicinal honey for making a medical device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, comprising: a) mixing a curable polymer composition with medicinal honey, optionally in the form of a medicinal honey composition; b) shaping the mixture; and c) curing the mixture to obtain the medical device.

Use according to claim 5, characterized in that pre-hardening takes place before molding of the mixture in step b).

Use according to claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the medicinal honey is mixed with the polymer composition in an amount of up to 10% by weight of the polymer portion therein.
