Die 25 Sternarme werden mittels Musterbeutelklammern/Nieten aneinander montiert, sodass im Inneren bei Fertigstellung der Montage ein Polyeder entsteht. Um die Arme mit Musterbeutelklammern/Nieten verbinden zu können, weisen die einzelnen Arme an ihren Grundflächen zu ihrer Längsachse rechtwinklig abgewinkelte Verbindungsflächen mit je einer Aussparung auf. Durch diese Aussparung in den Verbindungsflächen wenden die Musterbeutelklammern/Nieten gesteckt. Nach Montage aller 25 Teile zu einem gesamten Stern, ist das Gebilde jedoch noch nicht in einer stabilen Form. Der Stern ist mit 25 Armen nicht komplett, da der 18te viereckige Arm fehlt. Um den Stern vollständig und auf 5 Ebenen als Polyeder zu komplettieren, bedarf es 26 Stern-Arme. Um den Stern am 26.ten Element zu schließen, ist an Stelle dieses 26ten Stern-Arms eine viereckige Platte im Lieferumfang beinhaltet, welche an den 4 Grundflächen zur Längsachse rechtwinklig abgewinkelte Verbindungsflächen mit je einer Aussparung aufweist. Mittig ist eine Aussparung zur Kabelführung vorgesehen. Durch diese Aussparung in dem 26ten viereckigen Teil muss der Kunde das Kabel selber montieren, sofern er kein Herrenhuter Kabel zum Stern erwirbt. Dies birgt Risiken der Fehlmontage. Dieses plattenähnliche Teil hat die gleiche Grundfläche wie ein viereckiger Arm, ist jedoch flach. Montiert wird dieses viereckige Teil ebenfalls mit Musterbeutelklammern/Nieten an die Aussparungen der anderen Sternarme. Dies geschieht durch stecken der Musterbeutelklammern/Nieten in die in Platte und Arm befindlichen Aussparungen. Die Aufhängung des vollständig montierten Dekorationssterns soll ausschließlich an den im Lieferumfang beinhalteten Stricken erfolgen. Nachteilig bei diesem Dekorationsstern ist die aufwändige Montage und Demontage. Nach mehrfachem Benutzen können die kleinen Nieten ihre Spannung zudem verlieren und dadurch leicht verloren gehen oder auch abbrechen. Nachteilig ist außerdem, dass man in das viereckige Teil mit Loch selber ein Kabel montieren soll, wenn man kein Herrenhuter Kabel kaufen will. Das spezielle mit Platte vormontierte Herrenhuter Kabel muss sepparet zum Stern erworben werden. Vorteilig ist der geringe Platzbedarf in der Packung nach Demontage. Herrenhuter Dekorationssterne gibt es sowohl aus Papier, geeignet für den Innenraum, als auch aus Kunststoff, geeignet für den Aussengebrauch.
• 2. Bekannt ist weiterhin ein Dekorationsstern, (Patent DE 19609168 ) welcher aus 12 pentagonalen, sprich 5 eckigen Armen und einem Trägerkörper besteht. 11 der 12 Arme werden einzeln auf einem 5 eckigen Rahmen, welcher erhaben auf dem Grundgerüst sitzt, befestigt. Die Arme weisen nach innen zeigende kleine Halterungen auf. Der Rahmen auf dem Grundgerüst hat überstehende Kanten nach aussen; an denen sich die Arme festhaken sollen. Das Grundgerüst selbst hat sehr breite Verstrebungen, auf welchen die Rahmen angebracht sind. Die erhabenen 5 eckigen Rahmen auf dem Grundgerüst sind ebenfalls sehr kräftig ausgeprägt. Die 5eckigen Arme werden ähnlich wie der Herrnhuter Stern in 4 gedachten Ebenen montiert. Geliefert wird der Stern in einer Packung, wobei ein Sternenarm bereits untrennbar mit Rahmen und Grundgerüst befestigt ist. Dieser Sternarm ist untrennbar mit dem Grundgerüst verbunden, weil durch ihn das Beleuchtungskabel geführt wird und dieses in einer polygonalen Fläche am Grundkörper fest arritiert ist. Diese Fläche hat zusätzliche innere Verstrebungen, welche für die Halterung der Lampenfasung vorgesehen ist. Diese Verstrebung fixiert die Lampenfassung mittig und untrennbar mit dem Grundgerüst. Eine Demontage der Spitze ist ohne Zerstörung des Kabels, oder des Grundgerüstes mit Rahmen oder des Arms nicht möglich. Im Gegensatz zu Herrenhuter Sternen wird dieser Stern durch aufstecken und aufdrehen der Arme auf den erhabenen Rahmen, der auf dem Grundgerüstes/Polyeder sitzt, montiert. Die Aufhängung des vollständig montierten Dekorationssterns kann ausschließlich an den im Lieferumfang beinhalteten und bereits fix am Grundgerüst befindlichen Kabels erfolgen. Vorteilig bei diesem Dekorationsstern ist die leichte Montage. Nachteilig sind die leicht lösbare Verbindung des Arms vom Grundgerüst und die Nicht-Lösbarkeit des kabelführenden Sternarms vom Grundgerüst oder vom Arm. Eine Demontage des kabelführenden Sternarms ist ohne Zerstörung des Kabels, oder des Grundgerüstes oder des Arms nicht möglich. Komplett auseinander bauen kann man diesen Stern nicht. Durch das bereits montierte Kabel und dem dadurch fixen Sternarm, kann man den Dekorationsstern nicht an eine beliebige Lampenfassung im Zimmer hängen. Der Dekorationsstern kann nur in Verbindung mit dem beigelieferten Kabel genutzt werden. Diese Sterne gibt es sowohl aus Papier, geeignet für den Innenraum, als auch aus Kunststoff, geeignet für den Aussengebrauch.
• 3. Weiterhin gibt es einen Dekorationsstern, (Patent 1063779) welcher aus 154 Einzelteilen aufwändig hergestellt wird. Die Arme werden in 4 gedachten Ebenen montiert. Die Form ist identisch mit dem zuvor beschriebenen Dekorationsstern und besteht aus 12 pentagonalen, sprich 5 eckigen Armen, welche auch an einem Grundgerüst befestigt sind. Dieser Stern ist ausschließlich aus Papier gefertigt und kann demzufolge nur im Innenraum verwendet werden. Montiert wird der Stern, indem überstehende, nach innen zugekehrte Papierlaschen bei der Montage der Spitzen am Polyeder vorhandene Ringe umgreifen. Die Ringe sind am Grundgerüst mittels weiterer Distanzringe befestigt. Die Spitzen werden an ihrer Grundfläche nur durch die am Polyeder vorhandenen Ringe fixiert. Nachteilig bei diesem Dekorationsstern sind die äußerst aufwändige Herstellung und der Zusammenbau aus 154 Einzelteilen. Weiterhin nachteilig ist die Verwendung nur im Innenraum. Da die Spitzen lediglich durch umgeknicktes Papier am Grundgerüst gehalten werden, können diese auch leicht bei falscher oder häufiger Montage oder Demontage verschleißen. Das führt dazu, dass der Arm repariert werden oder ausgetauscht werden muss. Da Papier kaum Spannung aushält, ist die Lebensdauer eines solchen Sterns bei mehrfacher Montage/Demontage daher geringer.
