Abstract

A tracked drive, e.g. for an off road vehicle, has each track strung over fixed front (5) and rear wheels (6) and an upper drive wheel (6). Smaller load bearing wheels (7) are mounted on the chassis ob swing arms (8) and fitted with dampers (9). The dampers are linked to ensure an even ground pressure over rough ground as well as to provide a stable running on roads.
