Abstract

The tie comprises one or more tensile elements (6a) such as steel cables or wires set in a tubular tension duct. Anchor devices (3,4) are provided at the ends and the part of the tension duct between same is filled with a material of lower strength and/or E-modulus. The filler material can be a setting material of lower strength such as pressed mortar which can be mixed with particles of a compressible material such as polystyrene.
