Description

Stocking aid

The invention is a dressing aid.

II The device developed is intended to provide relief or assistance to people who, for health or infirmity reasons, are not or are no longer able to put on their own stockings.

The stocking can be put on without having to use your hands.

III The stocking-donning aid consists of a foot or base plate with a stand attached. It is an additional aid for the user as he no longer has to keep his balance on one foot when putting on the stockings. In this case, he can also carry out the process while sitting.

IV As mentioned in paragraph III, the device consists of the following components.

a. a footplate.

b. a stand which is attached to the base plate with screws.

c. a joint piece which is height adjustable.

d. a fork piece, equipped with a fork made of round steel in the front area, also adjustable.

e. Fixing screws

V Adjustability is necessary so that the device can be adapted to any person's size.

VI The device is operated as described below!

After setting up the device as described in paragraph V, take a stocking and place it with the opening (waistband) over the fork (toe tip forward). Then fold the opening area (waistband) of the stocking down a few centimeters so that it cannot slip off. The putting on process can now be done while standing or sitting.

By placing one foot on the footplate to the left or right of the stand, you put the other foot into the opening of the stocking and push it through to the tip of the stocking. Repeat the process with the other foot. The stockings are now on.

VII The material of the donning aid, except for the foot plate, consists of polished stainless steel. See drawing Fig. 1 and 2, Sheet 1,-2.

VIII The exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained with reference to Figs. 1 and 2.
