Abstract

The container (10) for paints and similar has an upwardly facing aperture (12), on the edge of which is an all-round flange (14) for accommodation of a closure lid. The flange in at least one area is interrupted by a tool (20), with the formation of two flange ends. On the container on a first hinge (24) is connected a tab (22) as arranged that an applied lid, by pivoting the tab, is partially raisable outwards in the area of the tool, which facilitates the opening of the lid. The tab is enclosed by a securing lever (23), which is pivotable in relation to the tab and the two flange ends. The securing lever, at its two side edges facing the flange ends, is fixed by two hinges (43,44) to the wall (13) of the container (10). The second hinges are displaced downwards in relation to the first hinge in the direction of the base of the container.

Description

Container with lid

The invention relates to a container with an upwardly facing opening, on the edge of which a circumferential flange is provided which is designed to receive a lid for closing the container, preferably by locking, wherein the flange is interrupted in at least one region by a tool to form two flange ends, which has a tab hinged to the container at a first hinge, which is arranged in such a way that a lid placed on it can be partially lifted by pivoting the tab outwards in the region of the tool in order to facilitate opening of the lid.

Such a container is known from EP O 565 967 B2.

The known container consists of an elastic plastic material and has a circumferential flange which is interrupted in one area by a tool to form two flange ends. The tool is designed as a tab which is connected to the wall of the container at an upper end via a film hinge. The first pivoting of the tab to lever open the lid is made recognizable by tear-off webs which are arranged between the side edges of the tab and the opposite flange ends.

Such containers have been in use for decades and are used, among other things, to hold paints, such as emulsion paints, but also to hold any other materials.

It is desirable to design the tool and the indicator device in such a way that the first opening can be reliably detected before the edge of the lid is partially lifted with the help of the tool, without this being visually recognizable by the indicator device. The lid should also be able to be levered open in the simplest and most effortless way possible.

The invention is therefore based on the object of creating an improved container in which the disadvantages of the prior art are avoided as far as possible. In particular, the lid should be able to be opened as simply and as effortlessly as possible using the tool provided on the container wall in the area of the bottle.

Production should be as simple and cost-effective as possible.

This object is achieved by a container with an upwardly facing opening, on the edge of which a circumferential flange is provided, which is designed to receive a lid for closing the container, preferably by locking, wherein the flange is interrupted in at least one area by a tool to form two flange ends, which has a tab hinged to the container on a first hinge, which is arranged in such a way that a lid placed on it can be partially lifted by pivoting the tab outwards in the area of the tool in order to facilitate opening of the lid, wherein the tab is enclosed by a locking lever which can be pivoted relative to the tab and the two flange ends, wherein the locking lever is fixed to the wall of the container on its two side edges facing the flange ends via second hinges, wherein the second hinges are arranged offset downwards relative to the first hinge towards the bottom of the container.

The object of the invention is thus completely achieved.

According to the invention, the pivot point of the tab (first hinge) can be moved closer to the upper edge of the container, which leads to a significantly extended lever arm, which makes it easier to lever up the edge of the lid.

In order to allow the tab to be pivoted outwards, the safety lever must first be pivoted towards the container wall, whereby at least one indicator element via which the tab is connected to the safety lever is preferably destroyed. Only when the lower edge of the tab is released by pivoting the safety lever can the tab be grasped behind and pivoted upwards in order to lift the edge of the lid.

Even without an indicator element, the first pivoting of the tab can be detected, as the safety lever undergoes a plastic deformation when it is opened for the first time, which is visually recognizable.

Preferably, however, when the tab is pivoted outwards or upwards for the first time, at least one indicator element, for example in the form of a tear-off web between the tab and the safety lever, is damaged, so that the first opening of the tab is indicated.

In an advantageous development of the invention, the safety lever is essentially U-shaped and separated from the tab by an essentially U-shaped recess.

In this way, the first opening of the lid can be easily identified by a permanent deformation of the locking lever.

locking lever in a position pivoted towards the wall of the container.

In this case, locking projections can be provided on the outer edges of the locking lever facing the flange ends, which interact with locking webs set back in the direction of the wall of the container and which are received on the wall of the container via support ribs.

This makes it easy to fix the safety lever in its pivoted position.

The embodiment according to the invention also enables the display device to be easily manufactured as part of the tab, which in turn ensures that when the tab is opened for the first time, the indicator element is damaged first before the tab can be pivoted outwards or upwards until the edge of the lid can be partially lifted.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the essentially U-shaped safety lever is connected to the tab in its lower, middle region, but is separated from the outer edges of the tab by recesses on its two side legs.

The safety lever can be connected to the tab in its lower, middle area via a deformable element or a tear-off element.

In these variants, the tab is pivoted outwards together with the safety lever. By connecting the tab and safety lever via hinges at different distances from the upper edge, the safety lever and the tab are pivoted at different angles, which makes an additional indicator element unnecessary, as this results in a permanent deformation that is visually recognizable.

The opening process is simplified overall, as no different pivoting movements are necessary for the safety lever and tab.

By using a deformable element or a tear-off element between the safety lever and the lower edge of the tab, which can be realized, for example, in the form of a material weakening, deformation of the entire tab is avoided and the force required to open it is reduced.

In an advantageous development of the invention, the first and second hinges are designed as film hinges.

This ensures particularly simple and cost-effective production.

The object of the invention is also completely achieved in this way. The locking element can be activated manually to ensure that the tab is secured against pivoting outwards. This is particularly advantageous if the lid of the container is to be opened first, for example to produce a certain color mixture, and then closed again and then secured against further opening. This is useful, for example, for purposes where certain color mixtures are to be produced, for example in a shop, a hardware store or the like, and the container is then to be secured against unauthorized opening.

In this case, the locking element can be fixed to the tab so that it can move in the direction of the wall of the container, wherein the locking element is assigned a locking hook fastened to the wall of the container.

In this way, the locking connection can be established particularly easily by pressing in the locking element until it is locked into the locking hook.

According to a further alternative of the invention, the task is accomplished by a container with an upwardly facing opening.

The object of the invention is also completely achieved in this way. Once again, the first opening of the tab is made clearly recognizable, since the securing element immediately tears off when the tab is opened for the first time.

In a preferred development of this embodiment, the securing element has a holding section which extends outwards through a slot-shaped opening in the tab and on which an element which can preferably be detached by twisting engages in order to secure the tab against pivoting outwards.

In this case, the securing element can have a rotating wing which allows the tab to be pivoted outwards in an angular position aligned with the slot-shaped opening and secures the tab against pivoting outwards in the other angular positions.

According to a further variant of the invention, the object is achieved by a container with an upwardly facing opening, on the edge of which a circumferential flange is provided, which is designed to receive a lid for closing the container, preferably by locking, wherein the flange is interrupted in at least one area by a tool to form two flange ends, which has a tab hinged to the container, which is arranged in such a way that a lid placed on it can be partially lifted by pivoting the tab outwards in the area of the tool in order to facilitate opening of the lid, wherein the tab has a first tab segment which is pivotably connected to a second tab segment hinged to the edge of the container, and which is secured in a closed position to the wall of the container via at least one tear-off securing element.

In this way, too, the object of the invention is completely achieved.

The first tab segment can be detached from the edge of the container, destroying the securing element, and pivoted onto the second tab segment. Both tab segments can then be pivoted upwards together in order to lift a lid in this area.

In an advantageous further development of this embodiment, the first tab segment is attached at its upper edge to the wall of the container via at least one securing web and, after tearing open the at least one securing web, can be bent by a distance

Flange ends can be pivoted approximately parallel to the second tab segment.

In this case, mutually associated retaining elements can be provided on the first and second tab segments, which allow the first tab segment to be fixed to the second tab segment.

For example, one tab segment can have an opening and the other tab segment can have an associated locking pin that can be fixed in the opening.

It is understood that the features of the invention mentioned above and those to be explained below can be used not only in the combination specified in each case, but also in other combinations or on their own, without departing from the scope of the invention.

Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments with reference to the drawings.

In Fig. 1, a container according to the invention is shown in perspective without the associated lid and is designated overall with the number 10. The container 10 and also the associated lid 30 according to Fig. 2 are made of plastic, e.g. polyethylene. The container 10 has a base 15 which is connected to a circumferential wall 13 which at the upper end

encloses an opening 12 and ends in an upper edge 18. This is followed on the outside by a circumferential flange 14 which is designed to receive the associated cover 30.

The container 10 shown in Fig. 1 is designed, for example, to hold emulsion paint and has an elliptical shape. On the two longitudinal edges of the flange 14, a hole 16 is provided opposite one another, into which a handle can be hooked with one end.

The lid 30 is surrounded by a circumferential lid edge 32 which encloses a lid surface 34. The lid edge 32 is designed to be lockable to the edge 18 of the container 10. On the top of the lid surface 34 there is a projection 36 which projects upwards parallel to the lid edge 32 as a circumferential rib on the top of the lid surface 34 and is at a certain distance from the lid edge to the center of the lid. The projection 36 is interrupted in the circumferential direction at several points, as can be seen from Fig. 2. When the container 10 is clamped into a vibrating mixer, the projection 36, which projects upwards slightly from the lid edge 32, serves to support a vibrating plate of the mixer.

The container 10 is further provided with a tool 20 for levering open a lid 30 placed on the edge 18 of the container 10 and locked thereto, as shown in Figures 1 and 3. The tool 20 interrupts the flange 14 to form two flange ends 68, 70 and has a tab 22 which is hinged to a first hinge 24 on the flange 14 near the upper edge 18. The tool 20 further comprises a

U-shaped securing lever 23, which encloses the tab 22 and which is separated from the side edges and the lower edge of the tab 22 by a U-shaped recess 29. Opposite the two flange ends 68, 70, the securing lever 23 is separated at the edge by a slot-shaped recess 64, 66.

The safety lever 23 is pivotably fixed at the upper end of the recesses 64, 66 at its two side edges via second hinges 43, 44 to the wall of the container 10 or to the flange 14.

The second hinges 43, 44 are arranged offset downwards relative to the first hinge 24, i.e. in the direction of the bottom 15 of the container, in the case shown by approximately 2 to 15 mm, preferably approximately 5 mm.

The first and second hinges 24, 43, 44 are designed as film hinges which are created by a material weakening.

The tool 20 is also provided with indicator elements 25, 27, which indicate the first relative movement of the tab 22 and the safety lever 23 to each other. These two indicator elements 25, 27 are provided as tear-off webs on the left and right edges of the tab 22 and connect it to the safety lever 23 via the U-shaped recess 29.

The tab 22 is stiffened by a plurality of stiffeners 60 which run upwards from the lower edge of the tab 22 and end shortly before the first hinge 2 4. The flange 14

is additionally supported by a plurality of support ribs on the wall 13. In Figure 3, two support ribs 76, 78 can be seen in the area of the flange ends 68, 70, as well as three further support ribs 62 which run downwards from the upper edge 18 of the container 10. These support ribs 62 ensure that the first hinge 24 is securely supported on the flange 14 or the edge 18. The second hinges 43, 44, on which the safety lever 23 is pivotably attached, are attached directly to the flange 14 below the edge 18.

The support ribs or stiffeners 60 on the tab 22 and on the wall 13 of the container 10, which are indicated in Fig. 13 by dash-dotted and dashed lines, limit a pivoting movement of the tab 22 in the direction of the wall 13 when they come into contact with one another.

The safety lever 23 is further reinforced by stiffeners 58, 59 which begin at the second hinges 43, 44 and extend to near the lower edge of the safety lever 23.

The outer contour of the tab 22 and the safety lever 23 is completely adapted to the contour of the flange 14, as can be seen in Figures 3 to 6. Only the lower end of the tab 22 and the safety lever 23 protrudes slightly downwards from the lower edge of the flange 14.

The function of the tool 20, which serves to lever open the lid 30 of the container 10, is explained in more detail below with reference to Figures 4 to 6.

Fig. 4 shows the closed position of the container 10 with the lid 30 fitted and locked. In this initial position, the tab 22 and the safety lever 23 are in a position aligned with the outer contour of the flange 14. If the tool 20 is now to be used to partially lift the lid edge 32 in this area to open the lid 30, the safety lever 23 must first be pressed in towards the wall 13 of the container 10, whereby the indicator elements (tear-off webs) 25, 27 are destroyed when opening for the first time (see Fig. 5).

It is conceivable to fix the safety lever 23 in the position shown in Fig. 5 via associated locking elements on the wall 13, if this is desired. For this purpose, a locking projection 46, 48 is formed on each of the two edges of the safety lever 13 facing the flange ends 68, 70, which protrudes in the direction of the respective flange end 68, 70. A thin locking web 50, 52 is formed on each of the support ribs 76, 78, which protrudes slightly in the direction of the safety lever 23 and is set back in the direction of the wall 13 in such a way that the safety lever 23 can be fixed in the position according to Fig. 5 by engaging behind the locking webs 50, 52 with the locking projections 46, 48.

The tab 22 can then be grasped from its lower edge and pivoted upwards as shown in Fig. 6 in order to lift the lid edge 32.

If, despite the corresponding opening instructions on the container, an undesirable attempt is made to open the lid rim 32 simply by violently pulling up the tab 22 and the safety catch

lever 23 upwards, this cannot be completely ruled out in principle, but would require a considerably greater effort, since the tab 22 would have to be deformed accordingly. In this case too, the first opening of the tab 22 would be permanently indicated, since the second hinges 43, 44 are arranged below the first hinge 24 and in this case the tab and the safety lever are pivoted at different angles as a result of being attached to spatially offset hinges, which would also lead to the destruction of the indicator elements.

Figures 7 and 8 show an embodiment of the invention which is slightly modified compared to the embodiment according to Figures 3 to 6, wherein the tool for lifting the lid edge is designated overall by the number 20a.

This embodiment largely corresponds to the embodiment previously explained with reference to Figures 3 to 6, wherein the safety lever 23a, which is also U-shaped, is not separated from the tab 22a by a U-shaped recess, but is connected in its central region to the lower edge of the tab 22a via a deformable element 37 and is only separated from the tab 22a on its two side legs via slot-shaped recesses 38, 40.

In this version, as well as in the following versions, corresponding reference numbers are used for corresponding parts.

The tab 22a is in turn secured to the container wall at its upper end by a first film hinge 24, while the safety lever 23a is pivotably secured via second hinges 43, 44, which are offset downwards compared to the first film hinge 24. The safety lever 23a is separated from the flange ends 68, 70 by slot-shaped recesses 64, 616. The two side legs of the safety lever 23a are in turn connected to the tab 22a via an indicator element 25, 27 in the form of a safety web.

If the cover 30 is to be lifted in the area of the tool 20a, the safety lever 23a is gripped together with the tab 2;2a and pivoted outwards, whereby the two indicator elements 25, 27 are destroyed.

When the tab 22a and the safety lever 23a pivot outwards together, the tab 22a and the safety lever 23a move through different angles cc _x and cc ₂ respectively (see Fig. 8), which is due to the different position of the first film hinge 24 and the second film hinges 43, 44. For this reason, the safety lever 23a is connected to the lower edge of the tab 22a via the deformable element 37, which can simply be a weakened material or a type of bellows. Alternatively, a tear-off element could also be provided instead of a deformable element 37.

Since the first pivoting of the tab 22a and the safety lever 23a leads to a permanent change in the deformable element 37, the indicator elements 25, 27 Ie-

merely intended as additional display elements that are not absolutely necessary.

The advantage of this arrangement compared to the arrangement previously shown in Figures 3 to 6 is that the lid does not have to be opened in two phases, i.e. by first pivoting the safety lever towards the wall of the container and then pivoting the tab outwards, but that the tab and safety lever can be pivoted outwards together.

A further modification of a tool according to the invention for lifting the lid of the container is shown in Figures 9 to 11 and is designated overall by the number 20b.

In this case, only a tab 22b is provided, which serves to lever open the edge of the lid without the need for a safety lever. The surrounding flange 14 of the container is interrupted by the tab 22b, which is separated from the flange 14 on its two sides facing the flange ends 68, 70 by slot-shaped recesses 64, 66. The tab 22b is in turn fixed at its upper end via a film hinge 24 near the upper edge 18 of the container.

To secure the tab 22b against unauthorized opening, a locking element 80 in the form of a hollow cylinder is attached to the tab 22b so that it can slide in the direction of the wall 13 of the container. This locking element 80 interacts with a locking hook 82 which protrudes outwards from the wall 13.

The arrangement is such that the locking element 80 is only locked with the locking hook 82 when the locking element 80 is pressed in the direction of the wall of the container 13, so that the locking hook 82 engages therewith when the locking element 80 is completely pressed in.

The tab 22b can thus be pivoted outwards to lift the lid of the container, provided that the locking element 80 has not yet been locked with the locking hook 82. Such a design can be used advantageously if the container is to be filled with a paint, for example, where a mixing process is to be made possible and, after mixing, the tool 20b is to be secured against being opened again. This is of interest, for example, in shops, hardware stores or the like, in which a certain color is mixed at the customer's request and the lid is then to be secured against unauthorized opening.

A further modification of a container according to the invention is shown in Figures 12 and 13, wherein the tool for opening the container is designated overall by the number 20c.

This design is similar to the design previously explained with reference to Figures 9 to 11 and is provided with a tab 22c which is secured to the container at its upper end via a film hinge 24 near the upper edge 18. The tab 22c is separated from the two ends 68, 70 of the flange by a slot-shaped recess 64, 66. To secure the tab 22c and to protect it against unauthorized opening, a security element 90 is provided which is secured to a

Wall 13 is attached to the support rib 62 and protrudes outwards through a slot-shaped opening 96 with a holding section 94. A rotary wing 92 is placed on the holding section 94 from the outside, with the aid of which the tab 22c is secured against unauthorized pivoting outwards. The rotary wing 92 can be separated from the holding section 94 by twisting, so that the tab 22c can then be pivoted outwards in order to lift a lid that has been placed on it.

If necessary, the rotary vane 92 and the holding section 94 can be designed in such a way that a one-time rotation of the rotary vane 92 into a position aligned with the slot-shaped opening 96 is possible without the rotary vane 92 being separated. In this case, as in the embodiment previously described with reference to Figures 9 to 11, subsequent securing could also take place, e.g. after a mixing process, while subsequent opening of the tab 22c is only possible after the rotary vane 92 has been separated.

A further embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to Figures 14 to 16.

Again, a tool according to the invention for partially lifting a lid placed on the container edge is shown in its entirety and is designated overall by the number 2Od. The tool 2Od has a tab 22d which consists of two tab segments, a first tab segment 100 on the right half of the tab 22d and a second tab segment 101 on the left half of the tab 22d. The second tab segment 101 is fixed at its upper end near the upper edge 18 of the container via a film hinge 24.

On the left side, the second tab segment 101 is separated from the flange end 70 by a slot-shaped recess 66. The first tab segment 100 is connected to the flange 14 at its upper edge 107 by a total of four securing elements 104 in the form of tear-off webs, with this connection of the tab segment 100 being located below the film hinge 24 with which the second tab segment 101 is fastened near the upper edge 18. The two tab segments 100, 101 are connected to one another via a film hinge 102 which extends parallel to the two flange ends 68, 70 in the tab 22d to the lower edge thereof. Since the first tab segment 100 is further separated from the flange end 68 by a slot-shaped recess 64, the first tab segment 100 can be pivoted about the pivot axis 102 designed as a film hinge in the direction of the second tab segment 101, whereby the securing elements 104 are torn open. As can be seen in more detail from Figures 15 and 16, the first tab segment 100 can be pivoted completely onto the second tab segment 101 and fixed thereto by inserting a securing pin 106, which is provided on the first tab segment 100, into an associated opening 105 on the second tab segment 101. The unit thus formed from the two tab segments 100, 101 can then be pivoted upwards together about the film hinge 24 in order to be able to lift a lid placed on it in this area. Conveniently, a perforation 103 is provided between the upper end of the film hinge 102 and the film hinge 24 in order to facilitate pivoting up of the two tab segments 100, 101.

Claims (18)

1. Container with an upwardly facing opening ( 12 ), on the edge of which a circumferential flange ( 14 ) is provided, which is designed to receive a lid ( 30 ) for closing the container, preferably by locking, wherein the flange ( 14 ) is interrupted in at least one region by a tool ( 20 ) to form two flange ends ( 68 , 70 ), which has a tab ( 22 ) articulated to the container at a first hinge ( 24 ) and is arranged in such a way that a lid ( 30 ) placed on it can be partially lifted by pivoting the tab ( 22 ) outwards in the region of the tool ( 20 ) in order to facilitate opening of the lid ( 30 ), wherein the tab ( 22 ) is enclosed by a locking lever ( 23 ) which is arranged opposite the tab ( 23 ) and the two flange ends ( 68 , 70 ), wherein the securing lever ( 23 ) is fixed at its two side edges facing the flange ends via second hinges ( 43 , 44 ) to the wall ( 13 ) of the container ( 10 ), wherein the second hinges ( 43 , 44 ) are arranged offset downwards in the direction of the bottom ( 15 ) of the container ( 10 ) relative to the first hinge ( 24 ). 2. Container according to claim 1, wherein the securing lever ( 23 ) is substantially U-shaped and is separated from the tab ( 22 ) by a substantially U-shaped recess ( 29 ). 3. Container according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the safety lever ( 23 ) has at least one locking element ( 46 , 48 ) which cooperates with a counter element ( 50 , 52 ) in order to fix the safety lever ( 23 ) in a position pivoted towards the wall ( 13 ) of the container. 4. Container according to claim 3, in which locking projections ( 46 , 48 ) are provided on the outer edges of the securing lever ( 23 ) facing the flange ends ( 68 , 70 ), which interact with locking webs ( 50 , 52 ) set back in the direction of the wall ( 13 ) of the container, which are received on the wall ( 13 ) of the container via support ribs ( 76 , 78 ). 5. Container according to claim 1, wherein the securing lever ( 23a ) is substantially U-shaped and is connected to the tab ( 22a ) in its lower, central region, but is separated from the outer edges of the tab ( 22a ) on its two side legs by recesses ( 38 , 40 ). 6. Container according to claim 5, wherein the safety lever ( 23a ) is connected to the tab ( 22a ) in its lower, central region via a deformable element ( 37 ) or a tear-off element. 7. Container according to one of the preceding claims, in which the safety lever ( 23 , 23a ) is connected to the tab ( 22 , 22a ) via at least one indicator element ( 25 , 27 ), preferably via at least one tear-off web, in order to indicate a first relative movement between the safety lever ( 23 , 23a ) and the tab ( 22 , 22a ). 8. Container according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the first and second hinges ( 24 , 43 , 44 ) are designed as film hinges. 9. Container with an upwardly facing opening ( 12 ), on the edge of which a circumferential flange ( 14 ) is provided, which is designed to receive a lid ( 30 ) for closing the container, preferably by locking, wherein the flange ( 14 ) is interrupted in at least one region by a tool ( 20 ) which has a tab ( 22b ) hinged to the container and which is arranged in such a way that a lid ( 30 ) placed on it can be partially lifted by pivoting the tab ( 22b ) outwards in the region of the tool ( 20 ) in order to facilitate opening of the lid ( 30 ), wherein a locking element ( 80 ) is provided on the tab ( 22b ), which can be locked to a counter element ( 82 ) on the wall ( 13 ) of the container in order to secure the tab ( 22b ) against pivoting outwards. 10. Container according to claim 9, wherein the locking element ( 80 ) is fixed to the tab ( 22b ) so as to be displaceable in the direction of the wall ( 13 ) of the container, wherein the locking element ( 80 ) is associated with a locking hook ( 82 ) fastened to the wall ( 13 ) of the container. 11. Container with an upwardly facing opening ( 12 ), on the edge of which a circumferential flange ( 14 ) is provided, which is designed to receive a lid ( 30 ) for closing the container, preferably by locking, wherein the flange ( 14 ) is interrupted in at least one region by a tool ( 20c ) to form two flange ends ( 68 , 70 ), which has a tab ( 22c ) hinged to the container, which is arranged in such a way that a lid ( 30 ) placed on it can be partially lifted by pivoting the tab ( 22c ) outwards in the region of the tool ( 20c ) in order to facilitate opening of the lid ( 30 ), wherein a securing element ( 90 ) engages the outside of the tab ( 22c ), which is secured to the wall (30) through an opening ( 96 ) of the tab ( 22c ). 13 ) of the container in order to secure the tab ( 22 c) against pivoting outwards. 12. Container according to claim 11, wherein the securing element ( 90 ) has a holding section ( 94 ) which extends outwards through a slot-shaped opening ( 96 ) of the tab ( 22c ) and on which an element ( 92 ) which can preferably be separated by twisting engages for securing the tab ( 22c ) against pivoting outwards. 13. Container according to claim 12, wherein the securing element ( 90 ) has a rotary wing ( 92 ) which, in an angular position aligned with the slot-shaped opening ( 96 ), allows the tab ( 22c ) to pivot outwards and secures the tab ( 22c ) against pivoting outwards in the other angular positions. 14. Container with an upwardly facing opening ( 12 ), on the edge of which a circumferential flange ( 14 ) is provided, which is designed to receive a lid ( 30 ) for closing the container, preferably by locking, wherein the flange ( 14 ) is interrupted in at least one region by a tool ( 20 d) to form two flange ends ( 68 , 70 ), which has a tab ( 22 d) hinged to the container, which is arranged in such a way that a lid ( 30 ) placed on it can be partially lifted by pivoting the tab ( 22 d) outwards in the region of the tool ( 20 d) in order to facilitate opening of the lid ( 30 ), wherein the tab ( 22 d) has a first tab segment ( 100 ) which is pivotably connected to a second tab segment ( 101) hinged to the edge of the container. ) and which is secured in a closed position via at least one tear-off securing element ( 104 ) on the wall ( 13 ) of the container. 15. Container according to claim 14, wherein the first tab segment ( 100 ) is fastened at its upper edge to the wall ( 13 ) of the container via at least one securing web ( 104 ) and, after tearing open the at least one securing web ( 104 ), can be pivoted onto the second tab segment ( 101 ) about a pivot axis ( 102 ) approximately parallel to the flange ends ( 68 , 70 ). 16. Container according to claim 15, wherein mutually associated holding elements ( 105 , 106 ) are provided on the first and second tab segments ( 100 , 101 ), which allow the first tab segment ( 100 ) to be fixed to the second tab segment ( 101 ). 17. Container according to claim 16, wherein an opening ( 105 ) is provided on one of the tab segments ( 100 ) and an associated locking pin ( 106 ) fixable in the opening ( 105 ) is provided on the other tab segment ( 101 ). 18. Container according to one of the preceding claims, in which the tab ( 22 , 22a , 22b , 22c , 22d ) and/or the securing lever ( 23 , 23a ) are substantially adapted to the contour of the flange ( 14 ), preferably are formed substantially in the contour of the flange ( 14 ).
